But for Black Nightshade, they're completely fine and the berries are edible. ​@@lilacangelblue2404​ okay I've done some research about the nightshades (mainly the deadly nightshade "Belladonna" or 'Atropa Belladonna') a while ago so I'm just gonna give you the gist of it: Nightshades or 'Solanaceae' are a family of flowering plants that can range from vines to trees. That includes medicinal plants, spices, weeds, and agricultural crops. Funnily enough, tomatoes, potatoes, eggplants, bell- and chilli peppers all apparently belong to this family. From what I've found you can tell the difference between Belladonna and other berries like the Twinberry Honeysuckle by their flowers (as the name suggests it has a bell shape) and berry shape. Belladonna also grows large berries that are solitary in contrast to the usual berry clusters. This toxic plant of the nightshade family is native to Europe and western Asia, including Turkey, so I'm not surprised many people don't know much about this. Basically, if you go and pick your own berries in this area be careful and study the plant closely before just picking them. And now fun facts about Belladonna because they're totally fun! : - they were used as eyedrops to dilate women's pupils because that was the beauty standard at the time - they're used in medicine as dietary supplements for cold remedies, as mild sedation, for treatment of ibs and acute enterocolitis, and as treatment for "alcohol use disorder" (not kidding when I looked it up it's basically just alcoholics idk) - they're also used in herbal medicine as pain reliever, muscle relaxer, anti inflammatory, and to treat menstrual problems, and sceptic ulcer disease - they were/are used recreationally because of the (usually unpleasant) hallucinations and can easily give you and OD - the antidote would be Physostigmine or pilocarpine to work against the atropine that causes the main issues (it also contains other toxins like scopolamine and hyoscyamine) [important note: this is all online research I have done myself out of curiosity, so while I hope this is all correct, it's not guaranteed. Please be careful about the information you get from the internet and the internet alone]

Honestly to me, Merida's a great protagonist! Next to Belle, Cinderella, and Tiana, Merida's one of my favorites! She's more of an unconventional princess in which she doesn't want to settle down (at least not yet), learns to own up to her mistakes and is always adventurous! Also, her hair is GORGEOUS! I have similar red curly hair, and she knocks it out of the park! I hope we get a proper sequel with her becoming the unconventional queen we know and love!
