Fun fact: James Woods, Hades' voice actor, actually contributed to the character's personality. Hades was first meant to be a slow-speaking, spooky, menacing guy, but once they heard Woods' characterisation of Hades, they went with it! He also did a lot of ad-libbing in his recordings!

Screw that, just kidnap her. It totally works for me." and the resulting near apocalypse is also painted as Zeus' fault since his terrible advice is the catalyst for it. Hades' only fault is trying to trust his brother not to give the worst advice ever, only for his brother to prove that said trust was severely misplaced.

Hades is literally best person from all greek gods i read about. He never messes with mortals, not creating earthquakes, tsunami, epidemics and othe catastrophes. Don't give random inadequate tasks to people just for fun. Blesses people and earth, since all the minerals in mines are his blessings since he is responsible for them as god of the underworld. Have fair and equal judgment for both kings and slaves, excluding the personal punishments from gods. Watches over the infinite souls, watches over the tartar, and managing the whole world of death by himself, working hard 24/7 in terrible conditions. Negotiable, kind enough to lend the Cerberus for an achievement or agrees to resurrect a wife of a musician ( he didn't fulfilled the only request for that but hey. Hades literally agreed to break all the laws of death world and resurrect a person if he would prove some respect to the words of god. If he doesn't believe a god why god should be kind enough to give such a gift to someone who doesn't respect him?) loves his wife a lot, made her a special spot in hell with living trees, flowers and etc. Alive flora in dominion of death just for his lovely wife. Persephone is also free to visit her friends and family. And he is the only greek god i remember who have a wife and never cheated on her. I don't understand why he was picked to be the villain. He is the most sane and kind from all of them.

I always thought he was funny, came to love him as a villain before realizing he was queer-coded (later explained some of my fascination). He is such a drama queen with those lines; "He's got to have a weakness, because everybody's got a weakness. For Pandora it was the box thing, for he Trojans...hey they bet on the wrong horse." "Isn't Meg here, isn't she just a fantastic little actress?" or "Oh come on, he's a guy!" Edit: Fixed grammar in the first quote, realized the "actress" quote was actually referring to Meg, the "chicky-poo" I was thinking of was; "Your little chicky-poo was working for all along, duh!"
