too many mistakes from Matsuyama and Shida

I don't know much on the rules, but I thought there will be no coaches if both pairs are from the same country

Matsushida made too many mistakes. But Nami Matsuyama wasn’t feeling well so maybe that affected her performance.Rin/kie are improving I guess.Matsushida are probably tired from the Olympics.Other Japanese players like Hoki/Kobayashi and matsumoto/nagahara and naraoka also didn’t do well.

@@jasperherr8694 you do know the rules of olympics right? only two pair from the same nation, ranked higher in the top 8 can qualify for olympics. iwanaga and nakanishi reached the top 10 after the olympics qualification.

@@wattfadad688 blame themselves for not being higher ranked then
Disappointment as always. Shida was clearly not focused, too busy day dreaming about the Bronze medal and busy playing cute for the fans. Imagine she won gold, her fans should be thankful she didn't win gold she might've retired! lol Count the mistake she made in second game, she literally threw the game away as always.

@@jasperherr8694 Thanks for confirming that they are not good enough to beat China/Korea on a consistent basis. Olympic Bronze is like "Thank you for playing, sry you didn't get to the finals". And btw you know it too, they got extremely lucky with quarterfinals draw being 2nd in group, they didn't get the 2 China pair instead they got arguably the easiest pair, pair from Denmark. If they got the Chinese pair they wouldn't even have a chance getting the Bronze (given the way they are playing) Nami/Shida have a negative H2H against Chen/Jia, Baek/Lee, Kim/Kong, list goes on. They even have a negative H2H against Kie/Rin (not a China/Korea pair now is it) I like Nami/Shida pair, I like their fast pace movements and rotation and teamwork. I want them to do well, see them win. But I refuse to be a fanboy and sugar coat things, they will never improve not correcting mistakes. I will call things out as they are their mistakes/shortcoming. But I will praise them when they do well, I think you do too, but my standard/expectations are just higher. When I watch them at the start of the yr, they push Chen/Jia down to the wire and should've won the French Open that's the lvl I know they can play at, that's what I expect from them. Instead, they lose to Kie/Rin, who just get destroyed by Baek/Lee. I wouldn't be sitting there and be happy about it.

i agree with you😢 this is my favorite pair and it almost felt like matsushida had no right losing that second game after leading most of the time in that set. but as we know from watching this pair from these past 1-2 years, they can lose focus. in the 3rd game matsushida were 11-17 down to their compatriots- they tried to pull what they did to fukohiro last year in canada but couldnt manage to succeed this time. i really wonder whats causing them to be distracted 🙂↕️ i really love this pair becausw theyre probably top 3 in wd in terms of speed and fastest wd japan has ever seen

@@hinataloser4045 matsushida is also my favourite pair as well. They are fast and attack and defend are both very good and I agree that they are the fastest women double japan. Not sure how they lost to rin/kie but it seemed like maybe rin/kie has improved.Or maybe they were tired from the olympics and they didn't practice much.Could be due to Nami matsuyama's condition during the game,if you have seen social media platforms like Instagram or japanese news websites or watched the post match interview where nami matsuyama couldn't continue with the interview due to her health, you will know that nami matsuyama wasn't feeling well. fyi,if u don't know, they are participating in the korean open which is currently going on.Their first match is 29 August.I hope they can do well in this tournament and win this tournament or maybe at least get a medal.
