Does anyone else hear a little more bite, glassiness in the rosewood and a little more warmth and softer tone from the Maple? (in the clean tones of neck, mid and bridge - but not when two pickups were combined)

Man,I don't know what you hear, but it is just the other way around !!

The first of the video maybe, but listen to the more detailed fingerpicking segment later in the video. just hear a different lower-mid frequency with the rosewood board. It's a smoother rounder top end, with the bite changing with the nuances of his style.

Close your eyes, skip to a random part, and try to guess. You'll be right 50% of the time. The string is touching the fret/nut and the bridge saddle. Maybe with some scientific instruments you can find some kind of miniscule difference in tone between body woods due to some kind of vibration of the pickup. But in reality any difference in tone here is going to be from the way the pickups are wound or minute differences in distance to the strings. There's not even any logical reason to argue that neck wood would affect tone.

Maple has more clarity and doesn't seem to lose anything noticeable.

I still end up trading those lovely maple sparkle bite definition bits for the softer rosewood round woody resonant warmth bits...every damn time. Help. Me.

I would go with rosewood for cleaner tones, but with gain, I think straight maple adds some clarity and articulation RW does not have.

Rosewood sounds tight and clear. Maple sounds open and larger but harsher

Massive differences, totally subjective though hence both would provide endless tonal possibilities

Maple sounds bigger and warmer. I like it better. Of course there are other variables, but I always loved the attack of notes on maple fretboards just in my personal experience.

이번에 뮤직포스에서 클래식 S 로즈우드를 구매했는데요. 이렇게 들어보니 확실히 로즈우드가 깊이 있는 느낌이어서 잘산것같아요ㅎㅎ

I prefer the clarity and definition and top end of maple. The rosewood is warmer and fatter. Are those V60lp pups?

Definitely with distortion you can hear the notes pop out on the maple.

Suhr classic pro 로즈우드 사용 중인데 메이플 넥이랑 비교했을 때 첫 소리가 좀 경쾌했던 것 같아요. 반면에 메이플은 균등하게 강약이 분배돼서 그냥 취향차이인 듯 합니당

Too many variables to simply correlate any differences to the fretboard wood. I mean, even pickups of the same model will have differences. You’d have to control the environment more in order to guarantee any tonal changes are directly related to the fretboard wood.

Not much of a difference. Tonewood things that so expensive yet it cant change the sound that much as a pick-up change haha

A poorly made guitar won't improve even if you change the pups. Don't waste your money. Find the best guitar for you.

@@siegmac3267 I've been a musician for many years, repairing my guitar myself, making effect pedals, and also a trackmaker / mixing engineer, so I can hear the difference in sound depending on the fingerboard and tonewood. (Even with electric guitar, the sound output is different due to the effects of microphonics, sustain, etc.) In that sense, I love ebony fingerboards. But it's subjective, Don't think feel, anyway. haha Good luck, and keep playing bro, thanks!
