Best demo of the Eclipse I've seen. Thank you for playing chords and riffs on various guitars at various gain levels. Well done.

Great demo video Ross! I've had my Eclipse for a year now and love it. Adds 2 great sounding drive channels to any of my clean amps. I use it with single coils and humbuckers. Just a really tight, rich, smooth, studio quality, and musical distortion. I dig it. I have lot of good sounding drive pedals. The Eclipse is right up there with the top of my lot (Tonebone Am Classic, Tonebone Hot British, and JHS AT). Thanks,Dan

I have had the suhr riot for a few years, this sounds very similar. The riot has some fairly harsh distorted highs, but when it's in front of a pushed valve amp they sound great. This sounds similar to my ears.

I own it and use it every week. So versatile to have dual tone shaping Infinitum!

Great demo! The suhr sounds brilliant, allowing the character of the guitar to come through. Which is what most lack. Also the eq on each channel is huge for me. Nice! Btw, you have the best reviews and lessons on KZbin.

Thanks man! Yes the separate EQ's are a great feature indeed.

Ross; you have the best education; the best equipment; you are one of the best guitar players on the tube; your enthusiasm for fellow musicians to share your knowledge and gifts with your devotion to using different instruments and pedals is fantastic; your knowledge of tones, amps, guitars musicians with different styles is BRILLIANT.......BUT.... may I say when you speak you do not sound ‘the letter T.......as a musician can you not hear yourself.... you know all the scales for every key mode etc but you cannot hear yourself omit the sound of. T.... sound like a Glasgow hooligan............ I come from Edinburgh so I know. I would love to hear some videos about David Gilmour style and also Billy Gibbons slide style with the theory included.

Suhr took too long to bring this out lol, i use a riot and a riot reloaded on my board for the 2 channel thing

I was after a backup for my trusty TRex Dr Swamp ( the newer one) and this seems to be what I’m after: 2 identical non stackable channels but with more adjustable eq... pity it’s so pricy.

Hello, I mainly play classic blues and rock ( Floyd’s, ZZ Top, all 70 rocks ...) in a Fender deluxe reverb 65 and look for a warm, smooth , versatile dual OD pedal to play all I want ! Which one does it the best for you ? Suhr ? JHS sweat tea ? Jam double dreamer pedals ? Another idea ...Thanks a lot for your answer and help, kind regards from France

Ha ha. Guitar Guitar is probably everybody's go to shop in Glasgow. I've also known Louise at Strung Out in Trongate before she & Paula even started the business. I can here that Bogner play its part in that demo. I quite liked the first tone you had on the strat before you took down the brightness/voicing. But I agree with you about the pedal. Nice job. And man you're a really fluid player. Damn you're good! :-)

Wow that pedal rocks....

I'm curious if it compresses like an OD or not. I've had trouble finding a dual drive that gives the push I'm used to in a TS type pedal without also signing up for TS tone.
@javierassad56234 жыл бұрын
Between this pedal and Friedman BE OD Deluxe, which would you choose for alt-rock/pop-punk mid to high gain?
@grahamkelly82993 жыл бұрын
Is this based on the riot circuit or something different?

Hey Ross! Great stuff as always! I am curious of your impressions/comparison to the Tone King Overdrive/Distortion?

Hey Ross, great video and great playing, I love your channel!! So I recently bought some pedals and put them in a great pedalboard, and now I'm thinking to save some money to get the new Axe-Fx III (I currently own a combo amp with a bad gain channel but a great clean channel and cab). Would you think there's more sense to buy an Axe Fx to get a good simulation of amps and playing it with a pedalboard made of nice pedals instead of the vice versa?

Suhr could make the option to use both channels together.
@RossCampbellGuitarist6 жыл бұрын
Personally I don't see much point in that. I'd rather combine it with a tubescreamer-type OD if I was gonna stack it with anything. Each to their own though!
@andreperes236 жыл бұрын
Me too. I prefer combine my two overdrives with TS.
@charveljackson63466 жыл бұрын
André Peres they will. First they need to recoup their profits and then they will have a revision version 2 so they can make you buy more! Lol Just kidding! John Suhr is a great guy!

Is it just me or are the lower gain sounds a bit hard and edgy rather than at the sweeter end of things.
@daviddorrian53495 жыл бұрын
This is a classic example of KZbin destroying what something sounds like. I bought one of these pedal a week ago and it sounds nothing like this video. It's a real amp like, warm tubey sound but has a very fast clean attack. Even on a super high gain setting the clarity of your amps clean sound is there I've tried bucket loads of drive pedals and this is just top for me. Great pedal
