Thank you!! Join The Army was the first ST record I owned. I still remember going to the record store and getting it on CD. I didn't even really know what they sounded like but the cover kicked ass and I had to have it...LOL.

Sounds great! First time I heard this, I believe it was a single EP/LP..?! I was blown away after being introduced to their first album, with the band hanging from the Monkey bars cover. That's still one of my favorite albums ever. And we were really excited for what's next. We were disappointed that it didn't have their intense speed and tightness we loved. When the crossover began. "Punk Sucks/"Metal Sucks!". I remember ST winning "Worst Hardcore/Punk band" in Maximum Rock and Roll. A year later they won best Hardcore band. Hardcore/Punk despised guitar solos (showing off..?! Not cool!). And they had some great, short solos. Greg Ginn of Black Flag played great short solos, as well. A big influence for Slayer type solos of screams and cries and a wartime angst. Thanks for the great time travel Classic!👌💯🎸🎶
