Norway is full of great underrated bands as is Denmark, Germany, Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, UK had a lot also that never made it far enough. I can think of none more deserving of fame and success than Popol Ace. They made brilliant music and Jahn Teigen is a great and very special vocalist. He is a huge influence on me. I think Stolen From Time is amazing album. Also are the two under the name Popol Vuh not to be confused with the German band. Popol Ace should make a new record I'm sure it would be a great one. Stolen From Time is brilliant, but I can't believe just one more, an album without Jahn, and they were history only reforming to play in Norway. Shame. They should be world famous. Why are they hardly even recognized for all they achieved?

+Benjamin Blake Mitchner Maybe because they never tried to get famous outside of Scandinavia ? Besides their record company was not out promoting it on the international market. If Internet was invented in the 70's I am sure they would have been famous worldwide.

bardo0007 The company did nothing for them outside Norway really and then there was the attempt by Genesis to have Jahn replace Peter Gabriel. I suppose that is the sad truth behind it all.

PopolVuh, PopolAce var banebrytende, var langt forut for sin tid - og opererte dessverre i en tid da norsk musikk ikke hadde muligheter å nå fram utenlands. Men de var - ganske enkelt - geniale! Jahn Teigen (RIP) hadde en fantastisk stemme (Genesis ville ha ham da Peter Gabriel forlot bandet) - og de andre musikerne - Arne Schulze, Pete Knutsen, Terje Methi, Thor Andreassen - er også av ypperste klasse. Veldig synd at de ikke oppnådde kommersiell suksess. De kunne ha nådd veldig, veldig, veldig langt. Og høyt. no.wikipedia.org/wiki/Popol_Ace

Starting to see why there is a rumor about that Jahn Teigne was considered as a new vocalist for Genises( right before phil collins joined the band)
