Dude. 9:20 is the magical explanation that I needed to finally get my false cord lows sounding the way I want after like 2 months of struggling. I could get the dog bark consistently, but it was too airy (as you mentioned). But when I tried to add compression, it sounded really thin and lame. Almost like I was trying to take a mixed voice fry scream and drop it down into chest voice. The placement you described is what finally gave my false cords some heft. Thanks!

I really wonder how much Mitch would've evolved with the genre had he not passed. I think k he would've stayed at the top and experimented with the techniques heavily used such as the tunnels and the whistle highs. Mitch had the talent and I feel he would've evolved so well.

Its kind of mind blowing to say that Mitch influenced many artists to start screaming is an under statement. A lot of artists would name call him through out any genre of metal. Recalling the good days like if It was forever ago. I got to meet the band and see them multiple times. What an unfortunate tragedy that a pillar of extreme music was taken early. If you've ever seen them live when he T-Troll poses and let's out the eye of Sauron out you know you're in for a treat.

been diving through you videos as i was having thoughts on content i wanted to create, figure this video would be the perfect place to put out this comment, im a black metal vocalist, spent a lot of my youth learning to scream to bands such as suicide silence, i now have a more black metal style of vocal, but want to dive back into bands such as this and re learn and perhaps take from bands like this, if you do see this, how wouldyou sugest i do that? i know i wont loose my black metal voice, i just want a grander gallery of vocal posibliltys, and my first bands traind with feels right, also, i want to try making videos documenting the process, of a vocalist stepig back from comfort and tryig somthing different, showing the depth of the metal vocal art form. man thats a ramble, if you respond id be truly humbled, love your videos, give me the drive to keep making music man!

The cleansing was by far their best album. I always digged the vocals but those instrumental additions from any other album than The cleansing was what let me go on. I always was sad that this band claimed two of the most talented vocalists out there. Don't get me wrong I like the variety and am happy for everybody that likes the sound of this band but I just prefer the old sound of The cleansing and All Shall Perish over anything Suicide Silence did after that.
