One thing I'd like to mention about the game that I don't think I've heard people talk about, is how it depicted Brainiac. I thought the design was kind of interesting and I really love Jason Isaacs as the voice actor, but the dialogue and portrayal was really weird. Since when does Brainiac want to restore Colu? What he wants in the comics is to collect worlds in order to enhance his knowledge. His home planet is irrelevant to him. That felt more like something General Zod would do. Also my problem with his dialogue was that it felt too casual and often funny, when Brainiac is supposed to be cold and calculating.

This will be retconned shortly. DC said themselves they want more Arkhamverse games, which can't happen if Batman's dead. Because of how people reacted to it, I'm pretty sure they're going to say something like "this was an alternate universe" or whatever. Obviously making this game non Arkhamverse would've been the best choice, but failing that? Why didn't they give Wonder Woman's role to Batman? I can totally believe Arkham Batman would be the last man standing against Brainiac. And it would give him and Harley a chance to have some character moments and a reconciliation because, you know they actually have history, unlike Diana and anyone else on the squad. Nah makes sense to use wonder woman. She’s one of the trinity. Rocksteady wanted superman as the big reveal “how will we ever defeat him” (shock horror etc) then they probably wanted batman as a boss fight cause they thought people would enjoy it and let’s be real is the most engaging as an idea that left who actually has a chance of standing up to everyone in the league? Also flash survived for a bit so not just wonder woman. But Wonder Woman is fr the only one able to stand up against superman in the league so it does make sense from game design and logical reasons granted the way they got enslaved was dumb and they did character assonare batman

I feel like they should've had Batman under mind control just to have these horror-esque gameplay sections against him, but then make him break out of Brainiac's mind control and aid the Suicide Squad with defeating the rest of the League using his contingency plans. Fully committing to having him mind-controlled through the whole game was a bold, unpopular and in my opinion the wrong choice.

The question: why it's not Starro? Because mind control plot would work pretty good with Starro and there's already media which shows Starro being able to influence people without going over their faces so using Brainiac is just plain weird, especially when Brainiac characterised really weird ..... as if he was Joker. Oh shit. On the poor death of characters: same studio that thought wasting Hugo Strange, Ra's and Tali Al Ghoul for sake while focusing mostly on Joker is good idea, all the while characters like Catwman and Scarecrow are just poorly integrated in the plot of the game, all the while having nothing really interesting to say about Batman as character with Arkham Knight being exception. This game feels like every underlying issue of Rocksteady hype centric writing approach showing itself in every way and how hard carried it was by Mark Hamill charisma, with everying just collapsing when they try to write around someone else. Even Gotham Knights, with all it's flaws, has a clear idea what it's about and what characters are as people beyond plot function which can be traced back to how Origins is written way differently from other Arkham games.

Staging scenes performed as in the previous Rocksteady games with maximum proffeysiliznosti, quality and creativity. saturating each hand-made detail and animation, life and response. It's a shame that the majority of adpets, who mindlessly consume any popularized but poorly made garbage (Rockstar, Valve, Bethesda, Activision) - systematically praise them for their primitive level of execution of standard cheap game clownade. But the same adpets put down Suicide Squad, not even seeing 1-2 two advantages, which are much, much more, if you know how to analyze and compare.
