Suicide Squad’s PLATINUM TROPHY is a KNIGHTMARE

The Platinum Trophy in The Suicide Squad PS5 Game has been an unforgettable journey but not for the right reasons. I manage to beat everything in the game and earn every single playstation trophy but I still can't decide if I think the game is any good or not. This is my journey of the game and prepare yourself to laugh at all the stupid stuff I had to do and the drama I was involved in.

There is some mild spoilers for the first 90 minutes of the game. I do not show any boss fights. I do vaguely talk about the end of the story because it is important to understand how the end game and live service system works but I don't spoil the end. I tried my hardest to cover the entire game without spoiling it for anyone.

I enjoyed the game quite a bit, the characters were all well written, gameplay was pretty decent, story definitely could have been better and of course the crashes were frequent and annoying. I had low hopes with the game and it surprised me a bit. Of course the post game grind was boring and repetitive. If Rocksteady were given full freedom over the game and weren't forced to make it live service it could have been an amazing game.

I wish I could full agree, but I think the argument would then shift to "It's predatory of them to make you pay $70 then another $10 a shortly after". Even though Rocksteady confirmed that you can take your time getting to passes and that not buying one won't lock you out of older season passes if you don't finish it by the time the next season releases. So, they're giving players a month to breath and really understand the game before getting into the real meat and potatoes of whatever the future may start shaping out to be in about 3-ish weeks.

@@callumcranstoun9067 From someone who's got the plat (making a vid on that now actually lol) I can honestly say that once season 1 comes out, I think this platinum will actually be a lot of fun because you'll have a bigger variety of missions to play while leveling up your characters. And the leveling grind is really the biggest hurdle to the plat being fun. Obviously season 1 isn't out yet so I can't say for sure, but I'm pretty confident.

I can't give an opinion on the game because i haven't played it but it seems rocksteady really dropped the ball on this game which is ashame bc i think the arkham games are excellent. I do think rocksteady have always struggled with trophy lists by making them incredibly grindy and long winded. Having to play arkham city on NG+, finishing all the side missions twice along with getting all riddler medals and over 400 riddler trophies, just felt like grind for sake of grind. I think Arkham Asylum was their strongest trophy list for sure. But Great vid!

Much respect. I just need to get Boomerang and harley to level 30 and I have the plat. I just don't feel like grinding it tbh. Grinded the shit out of Shark. Like level 80 in squad points. Burnt out on the game. I enjoyed it, but the server issues and the fact RS and WB can't seem to figure what's wrong with their system is pathetic and I'm over it. That loading metropolis buffer or the "unable to reach server" message then getting stuck at a loading screen while it tries to send you back to the menu is not fun.

I have a lot of the grindy trophies left; Reach Max Level with King Shark Reach Max Level withn Captain Boomerang Achieve 39 Stars in Riddler AR Challenges - I am at 33/39 stars. I am not great at these missios. Reach Squad Level 50 - One of the most tedious trophies! Complete 100 Support Squad Contracts - I am at 83/100 so almost done with this one!

1. Brutes have a moment of massive damage reduction after you take down one of their health bars. Then they do the explosion if you don’t shield harvest them, however if you nuke out their health with someone like Bizarro alt fire, you can melt through multiple health bars in a single hit without triggering the armored state. Because of the self healing modifier in incursions, if you don’t shield harvest their explosion, they’ll heal back up from the damage you did. 2. All of the red laser beams in incursions only occur if you take too long on the mission or die too much and essentially activate the enrage timer. 3. You ground out the platinum in a live service game, one that was meant to be done over a longer period of time, of course you burnt yourself out lol. Also, if just getting squad level 50 as soon as possible was your goal, why not just invest your squad points and weapon mods into experience increases? 4. There’s a pretty large loot pool for weapons, and a decent amount for the other slots. It’s all about the build crafting with legendary, notorious & infamous perks. You make the complaint about afflictions being the entire endgame, and it’s really not true. You can build non-affliction based builds and focus more on firearm skill,or around grenades, hitting with traversal attacks, or really however you want to as long as you have some kind of idea. There’s definitely issues with repetition and lack of mission variety, but those four points it seemed like you’d just gotten annoyed about experience gains and the repetition and ignored the actual information that was there.

I had to totally figure out the whole loot system out on my own and I didn’t like the alt fire of the blizzard guns but if I knew it was that OP I would have used it 100% haha The game doesn’t tell you about that with the brutes? when you say “find the information available” I assume you mean spend a considerable amount of time researching the game on the internet for viable builds? For me no one beats Viola Davis as Amanda Waller she is perfect and probably at her best in the suicide squad movie since the r rating allowed them to make waller as evil as possible. Debra Wilson is a close second though. Her performance as Waller in Batman the telltale series was a good alternate waller and this waller is also a great version of her.

Only the Rockstar Editor function, making the 10 trophies(3 silver & 7 bronze) for that DLC on PS4 unobtainable after the 20/02/2024. On PS5 the Rockstar Editor will remain alive & well! I figured Anthem would win the race to the bottom for you, as the Suicide Squad has potential to get better in its first year.

you mentioned this in the video but i can't really see how this will be a successful live service game to be honest. Considering how little content there is now to grind and the lack of variety to keep it interesting until season 1 in a month,people will probably be bored of it and stop playing and go to the next thing. Sure some people will check out season 1 when it comes out and it will have its player base but i can't see how they will keep it up for future seasons. They must really change things up to make it worth it later on.

Took me about 25 hours to finish the story so I definitely took my time with and have since put in about 8 hours into endgame. The core combat is just really fun for me. Some characters are more fun than others I mostly played deadshot and boomer cause their traversal was the most enjoyable. I’m not gonna bother grinding for infamy guns. I had fun and got about 32 hours in total. I’m just gonna wait for season 1 to drop now. I get the criticism’s some people have but like 90% of the criticism is purely about the story and many people hating on the game have not even played it and bandwagoning on the hate train. It’s blown way out of proportion. As of now it’s not a 4/10 like some people would claim but more like a 6-7/10. Rocksteady have a lot of work to do. Since the content is free except for cosmetics is quite user friendly and I like that a lot and the fact that you can god back to previous battle passes which means that once a season is over you can still go back and play what you’ve missed is great and more live service games should do that. Rocksteady just made a huge mistake by marketing it to fans of the arkham franchise which is a single player fanbase so they were never gonna become fully on board with this since it isn’t exactly what they want. I’ll come back whenever new content drops but for now i’m done with the game.

The story is pretty much why when comes to this game you have to choose a team and stick whit it. Team 1 - You don't consider this game canon and make your own head canon. Or Team 2 - You accept it for whatever it is. Personally I'm on Team 1.

This game is u hate it or u like and I like the game I will definitely agree really bad launch with season 1 not being ready, the server issues and the bugs it can definitely be tedious if trying to unlock somthing like leveling up ur caches or trying to level ur character and the endgame really sucks i think the reason why people like me like the game is because we are blinded by the idea of batman being back and playing as the suicide squad and some people like the gameplay being a shooter with a sorta rpg feel

Hey man. So I commented like 2 weeks ago saying it’s not as bad as the avengers platinum….and while it isn’t…the squad levels are ridiculous Leveling up the characters and doing mastery levels is fine. But the amount of time it’s taken to get to squad level 10 is stupid (I’m also bouncing back and forth between max level characters and leveling up my others) It’s lame that they don’t allow the squad level to level up when your playing as a character below level 30….it’s lame that the trophy is to 50. If you were gonna make it 50 at least maybe the first 30 easy to get through in a couple hours of grinding. I really enjoyed this game. And while the end game has been alright it’s starting to get to the point that I’m gonna have to mute it…put on a podcast and zone out grinding They also patched the gizmo mission like 2 weeks ago. And they patched a mission that you could basically load up walk to a car trigger a cutscene and get almost 40k xp in 2 min as long as you were at invasion 5. Not because they were exploits…but because they made game design oversights and saw that people were leveling up quicker than they could get the endgame season 1 out so the squashed it

Yeah I wanted to like it, but I didn’t buy it after watching a few different play it. I did watch the story on KZbin and I enjoyed it quite a bit. Just the gun play didn’t look too fun very samey maybe after they add some more content I would check it out or maybe if it goes on sale or goes on PlayStation plus I’d check it out. So I bought the game, not gonna lie it was a better experience than I expected, but they were very low, still not a great or even good game by any means. The story was ok-ish, but come on how Can they do Batman like that? I need 4 trophies left, complete mastery lvl 15 and 20, get squad to lvl 50 and to get infamy gear tier 3. But after the story is completed, its just waaaay to much of the same, honestly has been during alot of the game but it has been fun to play it with my mates. The trophy list is not great, the 100 support squad were easy but why they are so tiresome, it was hard enough to get all 4 to lvl 30 and then get to lvl 50 from lvl 1 are freaking tiresome, and the riddler I have one bullet saved just for him… the mastery just stop why did they only include 3 lvls, its just the same over and over and over and over.
