My emulator hanged a bit on certain parts, and I couldn't do much to change it. However, the sound quality is a lot better this time around.

I was about 6 when I first had it rented out from the video shop and I kept renting it out and keeping the saves on my memory card just so I could see what happens next! Then my mum somehow managed to get it on 90’s Internet (apparently it took all night to get from one screen to the other) and I can confirm it is still the best game I’ve ever played! :D

Unite buff tips 1:20 It's dmg can be buffed if either Kasumi or Mondo equip "Secret Writings" special item from rope climbing minigame 3:17 & 3:43 Equip "Cups of Promise" to get special buff (Dmg buff for Bandit Attack & 30% knockdown for Manly Attack)

Awww Riou and Tir so nostalgic, I want to see them again. And Viki her unite attack with anyone in any series always hillarious. The only time she really useful in battle was in Suikoden 3 her summoning was so powerful.

As a kid i could only play the demo of Suikoden II. I was completely astonished by that badass intro video. Even tough i never got to really play it, i come back every once in a while to watch the intro video. Maybe i give the remaster a try when it comes out ^^.

I played both Suikoden 1 & 2 a few months back for the first time. I was a bit sad that I glossed over these 2 RPG's in my youth but was pleasantly surprised to be able to play them both in quick succession :D. Thanks for this compilation. Even though I recruited everyone in both games I never had the time to try out every party combination so I never saw more than a 1/4 of these specials!

You can use Tir if you have a clean save from Suikoden 1, no matter how many destiny stars you gathered, just make a save in the last dungeon and you can convert It in Suiko 2. After you defeat Necklord you need to go do a city (forgot the name) and you will find Gremio and a mini-quest will happen.

When I played this game (and probably one of the best ones at that) a couple of years ago, the unite attack I relied on towards the end of the game were Anita and Valeria (4:31). With Anita equipping Fury, and the latter equipping Balance Rune (so she wouldn't become unbalanced anytime) it made the game so easy to finish, but it def. has a reply value :DD

I'm considering remaking this video (again) to add annotations of the Unite names and such, but that's when I find some downtime from my studies. I'll add this to my 'to-do' list though. @hilic3 Now that I have the time to check this out, I could not do a Unite with Wakaba and LCC when they're both low on HP. There's their Twin Fighter Unite when both of them are Berserked/Fury, but I don't see any other Unite Attack. Otherwise, their Twin Fighter Unite is @ 2:08

@TelicNotionX Yes, you missed a Unite with Wakaba and Long Chan Chan when they are both at critical state. Also, you can use Servant Attack while Bob is in his werewolf form too.

Use equipment called dog whistle from rope climb mini game. Then use kobold attack. There is only 50% chance "that" attack happen

Yes, I was playing this on the PC. If you own the original game disks, you can run them off your computer using an emulator. I used ePSXe. If you don't own the original disks, you can use Google to look for an .ISO of Suikoden II.

The term "octopi" is incorrect. The word "octopus" is Greek, while changing "-us" (or "-a") to "-i" for a plural is Latin, so "octopodes" would be the correct Greek plural, or "octopuses" if you want to translate into English.

I do recall that "hand" in English would be (or be close to) "kheir/cheir" in Greek or "manus/mani" in Latin (as in Hundred-Handed Ones/Hekatonkheires/Centimani), and that "octopus" is named so for its "eight legs/feet," but I'm not sure about the Latin for "eight" (octa?) or for "foot" (ped-/pedi-, as in pedestrian?). Maybe it's "octapede?" Perhaps someone else will enlighten us.
