I feel bad for you. Baten Kaitos Origins is one of my favorite RPGs of all time. It's battle system is a bit more action oriented, and I feel it flows a bit better. No more getting trapped by crap cards.

I love both games but you ae right the combat system was so addicted in Origins! I just loved the battles! THe magic and card system was so great! Wish they would do another game! It was THE game for my gamecube!

Awesome game. It's a shame the voice acting is not as awesome. It is quite shitty sometimes, actually. Remember the CG-intro with Lyude ("It's unthinkable! To act against the empire!?")... You haven't started to play yet, and you already witness voice acting deficiencies. It's even more a shame because the CG-intro itself is fucking ass-kicking.

Huh. Well I guess different people like different things. I hated the new battle system and because of that I just couldn't get into the story. I thought the level design was still nice, but changing the Magus system that drastically just turned me off.

Origins was an incredible disappointment compared to this masterpiece. You didn't miss much.
