I think it's a great change, and one that reflects her growth in the industry a lot, it's also telling that she is more aware of her position after a lot more exposure in recent years. Having said that, anytime I say her intro myself, I will probably say Aidoru V-chūbā (アイドルブィチューバー), mostly out of habit, and something in the syllables just flows nicer than bācharu aidoru (バーチャルアイドル) might be just the stress of how the syllables are said? I'm not fully sure tbh

I never liked "youtuber" in the first place, i feel like entertainer is better, as most of them use several social media and platform nowadays. I think this change could be useful for a conceptual game. Just like everyone else in the comments are saying, Suisei evolved from "Idol VTuber ---> Virtual Idol" The idea is this. There are 3 paths to choose at the start which evolves according to how much streaming and idol-related activities are done: Path 1: VSinger Path 2: VTuber Path 3: Virtual Idol And the path change could look like this Virtual Diva---> [VSinger] [VTuber] Idol VTuber [Virtual Idol]

She always have been trying to break into mainstream, she want to sing at more venue, she want more recognition and show people that even if you are virtual you can reach that dream. Well in the first place, even Kizuna AI moved on from saying "Virtual KZbinr" fully in her ealier greetings to "VTuber" when she started appearing on other platform's events like the ones from Nico Nico Douga. People have been continuing to use the "VTuber" term (even on Twitch) out of habit and because the term was adopted by the community, but it already lost its "KZbinr-only" meaning a long time ago.
