You know after playing all of the mainline Kirby games, fighting all the final bosses, thinking too much about the lore, then going back and listening to these awesome renditions of everything over the last 30 years it makes me think why Kirby is so powerful and it isn’t just revolving around him being a supposed positive god like reincarnation of Void but also it having to do with the friends he makes over the course of the last 30 years. At first glance “Kirby” seems like it is the namesake of the series but the true message underneath I see is the people he meets and befriends throughout the franchise. When you delve deeper, Kirby started with a terrible rivalry with King Dedede who was greedy and uncaring to his people and Meta Knight who was mainly training Kirby honorably for his upcoming adventures (and also having for some reason bad intentions in Meta Knight’s Revenge) to eventually befriending them both and fighting side by side in future titles. Later games show how Dedede eventually set aside his rivalry with Kirby and replace them with friendlier terms such as him teasing the pink puffball in Return to Dreamland’s opening scene and later assist him too in defeating Sectonia and in the Forgotten Land also helping his Waddle Dee brethren to safety as he fought back the Beast Pack like a true king. Meta Knight on the other hand, continued to prevent evil from coming to Dreamland and Popstar and warn Kirby ahead of time of impending threats and like Dedede also fighting alongside Kirby to stop the self aware malevolent Star Dream. Meta Knight’s watchful nature shined even more in Forgotten Land when he shows up to help Waddle Dee Town from Beast Pack invasions while Kirby is on his quest from rescuing more Waddle Dees. And it didn’t stop with just them two but also with Bandana Waddle Dee and the rest of the Waddle Dees as seen again in Forgotten Land and practically almost every other character Kirby meets such as the 6 animal buddies of the Dark Matter trilogy, Adeline and Ribbon, Daroach and the Squeaks, Taranza, Susie, as well as even Marx and Magolor (don’t know really about Dark Meta Knight tbh). In the end almost every game that features these characters (except for a few and the obvious oddballs) all with the help of Kirby’s positive intentions, snap out of their mischievous or evil schemes to stop the greater evil pulling the strings behind each of their adventures. Without their contributions, most likely Kirby could have been defeated at some point and in the end we even see them all join forces too to stop the universe ending Void Termina being under the influence of dark negative energy. Crazy again with Kirby’s incredible positive traits inherited by a positive reincarnation, is capable of turning the petty, the mistaken, the bad, and the ugly, into their true, friendly, powerful selves. It seems like a stretch definitely but I believe that this could be something, anyone, even you can probably apply to to yourself in your ordinary life. And if that’s true maybe we should all take a page from the pudgy pink marshmallow. Happy belated 30th Anniversary! *I’m going back to sleep I’ve been typing this for like an hour lmao*

@@rebirthphoenix5646 I can agree. There’s also a little lesson on power for each of the main antagonists, examples being Magolor, Sectonia, Haltmann, Hyness, and Leon. They all tried to use forces beyond their understanding for either good or bad intentions, or even indirectly finding it. Each of them became something that they were not: Magolor was most likely corrupted by the crown, which would explain why he redeemed himself instantly, and became manipulative and power hungry. Sectonia and Haltmann got corrupted by the mirror and Star Dream, leading to them both going insane and losing themselves, falling into madness. Hyness and Leongar tried to get Void and Fecto Elfilis to lead a new future for them and their people, but ended up going mad and falling victim to the one thing they swore allegiance to, but manage to reclaim what they lost: their sanity and soul. The cycle of trying to play god had led to tragedy for the users time and time again, becoming victims of this destructive and dark power.

@@mikephelps9238 That’s a great way of putting all of their desires and goals into perspective though didn’t Leon get possessed by Fecto Forgo and that’s why he “sought after” the power though in reality he was just being controlled like a puppet to instead hand over Elfilis to Fecto Forgo to then merge back to Fecto Elfilis? Like I don’t remember Leon explicitly saying he wanted the space time portal power only when he was being controlled unless I missed something in the collectible figures.

@@rebirthphoenix5646 I mean, I’m not so sure if Leon was entirety controlled by Forgo, since he said Fecto Forgo’s name in third person. True, you could say it’s them hiding their control over Leon, but it could also be Leon proclaiming his goals. It’s only speculation, but I think he was just manipulated by Fecto Forgo into getting their power, and then began to slowly take over him (just like what happened to Haltmann when he tried to harness Star Dream’s power to get Susie back, only to lose himself).

Man, looking at the artwork for Sectonia really reminded me of how depressing that whole ordeal was. Taranza was following his queens wishes and gave her a mirror that happened to be an evil mirror that would corrupt her. She wished for ultimate beauty and tried to take over dreamland to meet this goal. Kirby did as Kirby does and went to stop her. Seeing no other way to stop or even cure her, Taranza gave in and helped Kirby and King Dedede kill her. All of this trouble occurred because Taranza loved Sectonia and gave her this mirror. It is all of his fault that the one he loved is dead.

He did what he knew had to be done. Had he and Dedede not interfered with Sectonia, she would’ve won against Kirby. He did the right thing and repented for his actions, but now he has to find peace of mind (the nightmare may be over, but now he has to live with that guilt).

I can tell that you put incredible amounts of love and care into each segment of these medleys! There are several sections where I wish there was a full arrangement, like VS. Star Dream at 2:30 I also like how you used Star Allies' various Morpho Knight arrangements whenever you had the chance to; plus, the inclusion of Castle Dedede's theme from Star Allies at 14:50 is a detail I absolutely appreciate! The Ending Medley left quite an impact on me, especially with Memories (I'll Never Forget You) at 22:13, and how it ends with the credits to the original Kirby's Dream Land Happy 30th Anniversary to the Kirby Franchise!!! Everything about this medley does such a great job at paying tribute to the series!

That transition between Void Termina and Star dream is phenomenal, the Void Termina/Star dream parts have to be my favorites in this whole 30 minutes of godly orchestra. I hold a soft spot for star allies because I used to play it with my younger cousin, so I really like Void Terminas theme, it’s wonderful to see it orchestrated in such a crazy and great manner, props to you, these have to be some of if not the best collections of covers for Kirby music Ive seen to date! this is one hell of a Kirby 30th anniversary gift, hats off to you, I really wish I could have the chance to experience this for the first time again

I like how in the Sectonia part, Moonstruck Blossom sounds tragic to reflect the tragic part of Sectonia story, but get overshadowed by the epicness of The World to Win and then shift to Dirty and Beauty to reflect the insane shift of personality that Sectonia had, becoming a ruthless and Hungry power Queen. This is absolutely amazing. I’ve listened to this celebration of Kirby many times now, and I cannot get enough of it! Congrats on 1 mil views!!! The transitions and creative liberties taken here are truly beautiful, something that only a true fan of Kirby could have done. Of course the transition from Dedede’s theme to his castle theme from Star Allies to then transition to Void’s theme (which is the final boss theme in this medley, perfectly ending the boss section) is absurdly amazing. I also love the inclusion of Rainbow Resort in Nightmares theme, it really adds the feeling of “something is not right” to the section (which is amazing since Rainbow Resort is a very calm theme). My favorite moments in this medley have to be the transition from Triple Deluxe’s credits to Return to Dreamland’s credits, as well as from Dreamland 3’s curtain call to the true credits. I genuinely get chills every single time I get to that part!!! Question, what other motifs did you use in Marx’s theme? I’m pretty sure it was Milky Way Wishes’ map theme and the theme that plays in the opening movie when Marx tells Kirby to go meet Nova, but I’m not sure. I could go on and on about how much of a masterpiece this is, but I will keep it short. This is truly an amazing work of art, I am so glad that this was recommended to me by KZbin, and that I decided to listen to it. Your channel is one of the best that I’ve come across on here. The fact that you compose all of the works you’ve created here yourself is no small feat. I really look forward to your next works in the future!!! ❤
