I like this episode. Mike let his feelings over come him but in the end he did the right thing - but he didn’t allow it happen to his client.

The objection was to the speculative answers Mike suggested after asking, not to the question itself. Though in reality, if an objection is raised one is expected to wait for the judge to overrule or sustain before continuing... but legal dramas play fast and loose with the rules for dramatic effect.

It starts pretty well, starts to get a bit tedious and repetitive in later seasons.

Mike explained several times that the way his memory works, is that when he understand something, he never forgets it. He was like 10 when this happenend and he probably didn't understand most of it. Anyway, he did correctly remember Renaldi mentioning alcohol levels being an issue. He just didn't get that Renaldi was talking about his dad, and assumed he was talking about another driver. Which, again, makes sense: one, he was 10 and had no idea what the guy was talking about, and two, the kid just lost his parents, of course he wouldn't assume his dad has any guilt in it.
