MAJOR MAJOR PROPS to Parilla! He took down 2 of the greatest players of all time to win this. Had a great game plan and stuck with it. Awesome!

Unbelievable. Incredible talent. Truly motivating to see such skill, dedication, and professionalism with KK and Andre.

Yes, got to give props to Parilla for hanging in there the whole game. Especially those last 3 or 4 points to win under the pressure of Kane already being at 10. He did play well. But Kane played way below his usual abilities. He skipped in excess and left so many way up just giving points to Parilla. Don't know if it's age or if he's just lost the hunger but it was apparent that he wasn't the same. The way he played Parilla vs the way he played Landa - Night and Day.

Congrats Andree. Felicitaciones hermanito. Bien hecho!!! Que bien jugaste! Y tu fortaleza mental es inmensa. You stuck to your game plan and you stopped that Racquetball Juggernaut named Kane Waselenchuk. I loved that you stepped on the court Andree, believing 100% that you could and would beat Kane, no matter how many times or how badly he had beat you before. Other top racquetball players step on the court and feel already defeated by Kane, like they have no chance to win. Hoping to score a few points so they don’t look too bad losing AGAIN to Kane, you Andree went in there with a game plan and stuck to it. When Kane hit some amazing awesome shots (as he always does), you didn’t panic and stuck to your game plan of putting max pressure on Kane, making him play from the back court and you kept being aggressive, but aggressive while hitting high percentage shots. Muy bonito Andree. Bonito por lo bien “pensado” que tenias tu plan. Kane, for once you came up a bit short but there’s no doubt you are the Greatest Racquetball Player Ever. Better than Hogan at his prime, better than Yellen, Swain, Sudsy….no question you are The Best. Thank you for your performance. Andree, mucho éxito en el futuro inmediato y por muchos años mas. To the people that sponsor, run and promote Racquetball…please, do whatever it takes, do your very best, so these awesome athletes can make at least a “good living” playing this most exciting of all racquet sports. Maybe Racquetball will not ever reach the level of Tennis, with a Rafa Nadal, a Novak Djokovic and many others making $$$!millions and many, many others making a very good living playing Tennis. We know it is very, very difficult, to show Racquetball on TV but there should be a way that Racquetball can have the same level of exposure to the non-racquetball playing masses as Squash. So that Pro Racquetball players make at least as much as Pro Squash players so they can dedicate themselves fully to a Pro Racquetball career. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. 🤔🇨🇺🇺🇸

Best Final streamed! Bravo to both ballers. Played on this court earlier today, best court in the Atl! Gotta love those cement walls!

I saw Kane give it to him. Done it myself many times, but the why only Kane will answer. Props to Parilla for being the first to get this win against him. Kane is not arguably the best he is the best! Hope to see more great racquetball like this.

I disagree, give a game yes, a match no. Not the Kings style or for that matter any baller on the court, pro or amateur. We all play to be sharks not goldfish!

Well done Andree. Congratulations. Fantastic achievement. Loved your choice of shots. Kane is phenomenal. He was outplayed. He made some uncharacteristic errors. Perhaps the recent incidents of his own doing are still plaguing him mentally. He is still the best in my book. Hopefully I shall get a chance to watch to play in real life. He needs to keep his inner demons in check.

The Kane apologists need to realize Kane doesn't play with the same energy when he's not playing bully-ball. If the other player is particularly on or plays a certain style, perhaps, this causes Kane to not play as well, not the other way around.

Great playing by Parilla. Kane look Injured or maybe sick. Either way parilla was rock solid, nice win

17 to 1 career against Kane, not to take anything from Andre as he played well, but I have never seen Kane skip that many balls, he seemed to be hurt. The Kane who just beat Alex Landa is the one we are used to seeing. Will we see Kane with another US Open?

@@poncholuna123 yes we do. Leave us alone. Kane had like good drive serves in the match. He had an off day. Skipped thousands of shots.

You also have to consider all the pressure Parilla put on Kane which might have made him skip more. Andre almost won the first game. Unforced errors are not just the losers fault but credit needs to go to the other player for making things difficult, for making the score tight. Its easier to make a winning shot when you feel confident you're gonna win the game and have a huge lead.
@gradyfan2068 Жыл бұрын
I agree he seemed to be hurt. When Andre made minor contact with him, Kane was obviously in pain and took a while to get up. There were other indications, too. But he didn't want to take anything away from Andre's win. So he made no excuses, which he deserves credit for. It's remarkable that Kane almost won despite the injury. Now go watch the next match between them, when Kane is healthy again. No contest.
