My father represented Mezdunarodnaya Kniga in Jakarta. It was a Soviet company which dealt in international trade of books, records and periodicals. He lived in Jakarta from 1965 to 1969. He simply loved photography and 8 mm film and left me with a big archve which I digitalized. He never visited China, but he made several trips to Singapore, Malaysia and North Vitenam during the war. Also Mongolia. I will try to add link to these pictures to the video, as I can't add it here.

It's quite ironic those communists were bringing the big pictures of Lord Imam Bonjol, Prince Diponegoro and Mrs.Choot Nya Dheen. How could Muslim fighters like them support communism? 1965-1966, the military even used the Muslim Anshor youth movement to get rid of communists and "communists". I personally know a man who was forced by military to beat up his own teacher. Until know he's never sure whether his teacher was a real commie or just an unlucky person who carelessly signed some documents for 100kg of rice. Pro America General Soeharto toppled Soekarno from power and became "the new king of Indonesia". Next, this "king" started letting 70%-90% of Indonesian Republic's natural resources sold to foreign powers, for the exchange of US support for his dictatorial rule. By the way I'm no way a fan of communism. I assume if the communists managed to take over Indonesia in 1960s, they would either put Soekarno as their puppet or simply replace him with the Indonesian version of Mao Zedong, and the next thing happened would be the slaughter of 5,000,000+ people and 25,000,000+ people starving to death. If you think my scenario is exaggerated, then read about how a Mao Zedong's ambitious but failed program made 20 million or even more Chinese starving to death. Even in 1946 when Indonesian Republic was still an infant, the communists, with the assist of some other groups provoked by "anti-feudalism", slaughtered many royal families in Sumatera Island. Two years later, when Indonesians were struggling hard against Dutch's 2nd wave of colonialism, communists backstabbed them brutally. Yep, that's what you've got from "good 'ol commies". Communists should know that the rise of the world's 1st socialist country was actually engineered by a ROYALIST. Ladies and gentlemen, I present you Arthur Zimmerman! Do I hear "Who- who - who"? Arthur Zimmerman, The Imperial German minister, conspired with Lenin in the midth of World War I. He spent a crazy sum of Imperial German gold to fund Lenin so The Romanovs could be toppled from power. Zimmerman's motive was simple, he wanted Russia to stop battling German who was already busy fighting England and France.

I'm an anti-communist, BUT, I'm against inhumanity and the crime against humanity!! I can't imagine the people on this video were going to be persecuted, by killed, or slaughtered, or raped, and the rest were sent to Buru island. They were communists, but they surely didn't know about 30 September Movement, and of course, they were not involved to the movement. I can even surely that the most weren't know exactly what was Marxism-Leninism, because most of them were illiterate people that had been lack of education, like workers and farmers, even just a street vendors. Even though some of them indeed were students and cultural artists, but they weren't involved to the movement. This movement involved only a tiny group of elites, from PKI and military who hated the generals, and these masterminds surely wanted to take over the bargaining political power, and these elites of PKI indeed wanted to make Indonesia as communist state. But, the majority were just symphatizers who didn't know the elites' plan. They were accused by New Order to have the same character with the elites. How evil Soeharto and the New Order.
