To explain Filia: her favorite food is burgers and she loves Milkshakes as she is drinking one in her story. Cerebella: people call her a clown and make fun of her Peacock: has dynamite because of her cartoony explosion nature and cartoons are infamous for having dynamite as the explosive Parasoul: is a cake like a wedding cake because she is Royal. Along side roses which are seen as elegant Ms Fortune: not really any reference. It’s just a pudding cup with orange. Painwheel: The little blowers on there make up the wheel on her back(obviously) and the Maple Bars aren’t really anything other than have filling that imitates the scars. Valentine: The red frosting can symbolize the death of her squad and the red scalpel being her signature weapon. Other than that nothing else Double: is pretty obvious. Black Dahlia is another one who knows Double’s powers as being in the Medici, she has encountered her before. All the cupcakes represent all the girls she has encountered with. Most of them being the ones she had absorbed in her story except for Eliza(technically) and Marie. Squigly: another obvious one, but Squigly’s is in the style of a tombstone as that’s her main thing is being dead. Also the Levithan frosting and melted candle as her c.lp she makes a candle with leviathan’s tail Big Band: more like big bagels, but anyways, once again there is no reference here other than the obvious Saxophone shape. Eliza: another obvious one but it’s the shape of a pyramid with red frosting which symbols blood, Eliza’s gimmick and how she lives forever basically. Also her staff on surround the pyramid. Fukua: you’re going to be extremely confused but Fukua is the “joke” character of the game despite being and actual character. Back in the day, Fukua was drawn wearing a banana costume, the same one a car was wearing as a meme. Banana Fukua is a meme in the Skullgirls community and the more dlc comes out, the more memified she will be. Beowulf: other than the candles making it look like sparkles like Beowulf’s gimmick, his cake is an arena along side his signature belt. Too bad they didn’t add Grendel Robo fortune: the second meme character but is also actually a character, she has a waffle cone thingy because(speculating) Tacnayn who is basically anti bus cat and is a waffle. Obviously this isn’t the reference but eh. Also the honey that’s dripping down is a reference to Robo fortune who likes Honey pots Annie: another obvious, the giant star based off her and her acting character Annie of the stars, the rainbow frosting being her colors when she shines, and her sword. Too bad Sagan wasn’t there. Umbrella: Say it with my folks *another obvious one) where the he whole jell-o thing is suppose to be hungern, with a little red popsicles on the top which is suppose to be his tongue, and also because Umbrella loves Ice cream. And the white and red eye shaped Cake pops. Dahila: Last but not least, Her favorite drink is Champagne. 🥂 Marie: I almost forgot her 😭ok so, the bow is representing how controlling the skullgirl is and how the controlling she is. The souls are the many that are being controlled against their will Yes this took a lot of research but also I’m a Skullgirls nerd 🤓

The design of those cakes (not all of those are "cakes" but whatever) are between epic and tasty! Parasoul's cake looks like the most normal, but it looks so tasty. Valentine's cake has the very interesting detail that it's primarily made of chocolate, which she loves. As for design goes, Squigly seems like something you can put for a Halloween party and it will rock for sure, while Double's "Shrine of Cupcakes" it's by far my favorite. I would put it on my own party!
