Yes, I set up a custom mix to modulate the two throttles as a function of rudder input. It can be turned on and off via a switch.

Sure. I used the Littlescreamers park jet special, which is a 2500 kV motor. Props are 6x4 counter-rotating. Unfortunately, that motor is no longer available, so the best motor now is the Grayson Hobbies Microjet. Slightly lower kV (2200), but same prop and similar performance.

@superscottorama I just set up two custom mixes in my transmitter to link the throttle channel to the rudder channel. So when you add rudder, it increases thrust in one motor and decreases thrust in the other.

@TheSlashfan21 I use a Futaba 9C, which has 7 custom mixes available. I don't know how many mixes the dx6 has, though. Regardless, if has fewer mixes you can tailor the flight controls of this model to suit. Check out the RC Groups thread for this model (link in the title above) for more details.

am trying to re-design the F-35 so it would have 2 fan units, one placed where the real F-35 lift fan is, and possibly make a REAL VTOL RC of the F-35. only problem now is how to "fold" the tailpipe 90 degrees down, and wing "thrusters" powered by the fan unit.

Hi Panos, No, you can't use slowflyer props on this model--they just aren't strong enough or meant for the high RPMs. Note you don't have to use counter-rotating props, you could use just 2 regular 6X4 props and that will work well enough. Good luck!

Steve Shumate thx a lot for the answer ... BUT I have already established 2 regular 6x4 props and notice that , because of a tendency and torque (?) the plane tryes to rotate around it self just like AILERON Maneuver ... If you understand me , I am trying to say that (because both props spin left or right ) a torque is created that is not eliminated by any other force , and the plane is spinning around it self slowly ... I think that I MUST! find 2 opposite direction props to eliminate that force ... Thx a lot for your time , and plz expect my donation for this lovely aircraft design...

Those looking for gud motors..gud size..high kv. Use dys/suppo 2208 2700kv type...or grayson micro jet,same just cost more than the 1st 2 brands.
