We even got a glimpse of when he completely destroyed jogo,who's weaker subordinate in Dagon was winning against 3 grade 1 sorcerers. Then this is repeated again in kashimo's backstory,Gojo says it like the first 10 chapters and Ryu and uro who both gave yuta trouble were literally trembling at his mere presence. What do you mean he's not buildup. Your example of other characters like Aizen establishing their power,Sukuna also sets it in Shibuya. Also,Sukuna hasn't used his CT yet,that's pre established. That's why he is "Holding Back" I don't think there's anything left other than his CT. Tho,I would still say that Sukuna has Plot Armor. That Cursed Tool shit,him surviving Jacob's Ladder and Landing a Black Flash were all plot armour. BUT,this does not derail him. The Gojo fight WAS fair. We got some foreshadowing of the world cutting slash a few chapters prior when Mahoraga took Gojo's arm off. Sukuna was in the shadows and said "That's what I wanted to see" which can't be as a compliment since he has never complimented Mahoraga when he broke open the domain or whatnot.

You completely twisted the entire argument of the buildup i proposed. Its not about how he is overpowered out of nowhere, the point I made is how he is constantly moving the goal post as to how strong he is. We got buildup, 4 times, each time we were told he is holding back. While the other characters i mentioned, never eleveted themselfs on a consistent bases, without something Major happening to them. Sinbad becomes god, Madara transforms, or actually raizes the heat without then saying ''i was just chillin'' and Aizen got the Hogyoku. The second point was how his power was built up in the expense of others, HE HIMSELF didnt do anything meaningful aside from disrespecting an already disrespected volcano boy, while others were just mindless killings. His build up is just ''I am going to end you'' and thats the point im making. He achieved the level he has, with mostly no ressistence, everything was given to him on a silver platter, down to getting perfect outcomes, on his biggest weaknesses being exploited. Few chapters of Odd, Subtle ''build up'' which led to the ONESHOT and OFFSCREENING of Gojo is simply last minute and lazy. Buildup to payoff ration is abizmal. Mahoraga himself using the slash is also bs, nothing supports him being able to use that, especially to a level that trancended what sukuna could do, it trumped any type of damage sukuna was able to do to Gojo, up to that point, the point you make of ''sukunas words cant be viewed any other way'' is soo subjective, especially with soo little dialog and preasence given to that entaraction, if anything its the opposite, cus throughout the entire story, sukuna got a hard on for Megumies 10 shadows. Even if we say it makes sense, its still bs, cus Gojos six eyes, haild to be the best observation mutiations in JJK, being able to see EVERYTHING, wasnt able to see the slashes, but Maki Zenin did, and dodged it, mind you, she has no cursed energy. That fight was not fair.

Gojo could not because sukuna looked like he was done, he was literally enjoying his victory, so he had no chance of dodging it when he wasn’t prepared to. Maki knew exactly when it was going to happen, so she could dodge it. Hell, kashimo could dodge the world cutter but nobody calls that bullshit, nor does anyone place kashimo above gojo because of it. Battles in jujutsu kaisen are decided by under the table methods or catching someone off guard. Sukuna won by catching gojo off guard with an attack he would have never expected. Kashimo dodged because he had an advantage over gojo in knowing of the world cutter. Maki could dodge because of the advantage of knowing of the world cutter, but gojo could not because guess what? He had no idea that it was coming!

The narrative purpose was not for gojo to win at all. It was to show that sukuna is a fast learner and can pick anything up just as fast as - if not faster than gojo. The point was to show that gojo had finally gotten an answer to his isolation. The one who could defeat him in battle would not be old age or disease, but a rival, stronger than himself. Gojo himself knew that sukuna would win, but he gave it his all regardless. It’s the same as kashimo. Neither are meant to win, only find answers to questions they’ve had for as long as they can remember

That was hinted in fight from chap 230 when sukuna state he's going to kill gojo & adapt to infinity + stated sukuna can copy things he see + chap 234. 2. Heain form? Not asspull ,Chap 233 said, "the skill of a sorcerer is judge base on their ability to remove handsigns OR chants from the activition of their Ct",= can remove one or both. Sukuna just remove the handsigns, when gojo remove the handsigns & stance in 235 purple(unlike 223 purple)and only use the chant,noone complained. Yuta confirms the subtraction by stating in 251,"even if its a simply CT he'll be forced to use hands signs,chants or both". Conclusion most points are from not properly reading it, the only near valid point his the weapon part, even then fuga & lightening tool would oneshot everybody if C&d was taking away, it wasn't plot armor for sukuna it was for the cast lol.

I personally say after the whole invasion thing, the plot definitely for some reason speeds up for seemingly no fkg reason and shit just happens and the best reasoning is just Plot. BUT, i do think that the Sukuna asspull makes sense although executed quite poorly. Sukuna IS the strongest sorcerer in History, Gojo is the strongest TODAY. So lore wise i can see him, as per what has been built up, wipe out an entire generation of sorcerers, solo. I also get the reason why Sukuna didnt transform before Kashimo, that is to get that World Slash. As you can see, without any counters to Infinity, although Sukuna probably will still win via other asspull from the Heian era against Gojo, he would be significantly if not literally in death's door. There won't be any fights after that as probably Kashimo would've been able to take a Sukuna that's practically dead. But with a way to negate Infinity, Sukuna was able to remove Gojo out of the picture not only quicker but with less damage having been dealt to him. The Infinity threat is so high that he'd rather be close to death MULTIPLE TIMES and act like a bitch throughout the fight in order to get Mahoraga to nullify Infinity than immediately transform into his true form. Cuz after transforming, no more 10 shadows for him, meaning no more adapting. Also i think the one that will defeat Sukuna in the end is Yuji. Yuji still doesn't have both CT and Domain, so i'm not surprised if he'll gain either or both in this fight and defeated Sukuna. Still, there must've been a way to write this fight better than the current asspull combo. But again, i can say the same since like the 2nd half of Culling Game lol.

Fight between Gojo and Sukuna just wasn't satisfying. I don't think Sukuna was supposed to be defeated by Gojo. I thought Gojo would lose and others were supposed to defeat Sukuna together at once by using niche techniques that would be good against him. Just like a raid boss, that would be very cool. But about Gojo vs Sukuna. From the first episodes of JJK I wanted to see equal to Gojo and from the first episodes Sukuna was built up to fight him. They both were the ceiling to power level of JJK. And then it finally happens but Sukuna allegedly doesn't use half his powers, using Megumi's summons and wins thanks to them, off screening Gojo. If you foreshadow 2 OP mofos to fight in the future make them equals, let them go all out and use only their powers. It's what people want to see. I wanted to see a good clean fight.
