I don't think that is the right thing to say at all in this instance. Sukuna isn't getting power ups. This cutting technique was meant specifically JUST to kill Gojo. On top of that, he said it was next to impossible and likely also used a ton of cursed energy to pull off. This entire fight against Sukuna is about wearing him down as much as absolutely possible. Gojo managed to get rid of Mahoraga and the rest of 10S which those alone probably could have wiped the floor with the rest of the cast. He also managed to expend a lot of cursed energy from Sukuna and practically shut down all of his RCT. Not to mention how Sukuna cannot use domain expansions for now which they said would instantly wipe out the students This isn't at all like the Naruto war arc or Bleach's TYBW where the final villain is just getting stupid levels of power creep that the main cast has to follow up with even more power. This is in fact the exact opposite where Sukuna is being worn down potentially to the point where the Yuji and the others have an actually realistic chance at winning

So he’s been fighting gojo with his equivalent of one arm. We haven’t seen his reversed curse technique, his Innate technique, or his fire ability. He could have hit gojo while using domain amplification. He also could have come up with the slash on his own. And to those that think it it’s bs. You still have to make sense of the blue print and use it Perfectly first time. Conceptually, his slash was able to bypass infinity by slashing the reality in which infinity itself exists in. If he has found a way to coherently make the slash in a way that would slash through infinity be it because it slices through “the world itself” then the technique will work if he can channel enough cursed energy into it. My only complaint with how the fight ended was that the last chapter showed gojo barely even injured while sukuna is looking defeated, to gojo getting off screened and a tiny explanation from sukuna. They could've at least shown a panel or two of gojo getting hit by the attack. I expected sukuna to win but i would have at least wanted to SEE it. It feels like i skipped over a chapter 😂😂😂

Gojo was the invincible man, the one who stood above the rest, etc. so for him to be beaten it should upset the reader, the reader should feel like it was unfair. But like that’s the brutality of it, Sukuna is now the strongest and in this brutal fight to the death when your the strongest you fall the hardest and it is not your place to take the spotlight from the new strongest. Gojos reign has came to an unpleasant and brutal end and now Sukuna has stole his glory (so much he won’t even let the reader mourn Gojos death yet)

As a Gojo enjoyer, Sukuna would still win without Megumi’s body. Not only did he not use everything up his sleeve, but he also wasn’t at 20 fingers nor did he have his prime body out yet. He had 0 chances of losing to Gojo. He didn’t give his all to Gojo, but instead chose to use the fight to make his technique stronger rather than just winning without much reason. Sukuna simply chose the better way to win. He’s an absolute genius. Though, Sukuna also did have the advantage on knowing Gojo’s techniques beforehand, unlike Gojo towards Sukuna.

He adapted to infinite void and learned how to improve his own ability via mahoraga. He not only hid his full capabilities, but won doing so. I may have exaggerated though. Gojo could win off of infinite void, but Sukuna also went into the fight knowing about infinite void. So if not mahoraga, he would likely find another way to deal with it. We still don't know Sukuna's full capabilities, but we saw Gojo's. I think that alone says enough. Our boy got outmatched.

Actually I don't think Sukuna would win. Gojo did bring up that Sukuna didn't use everything he had, but I think that's because everything he would have used would just do nothing because of infinity. I've seen a lot of arguments about the fight but I think it's quite simple. Sukuna showed interest in Megumin since the start because he knew they he would need him to beat Gojo. I do think it would be a super close fight but unlike how some people believe it would be one sided. I actually liked the ending of the fight and I do think it made sense and was built up. There were no ass pulls or plot armour. I just think Sukuna had a plan since after the first fight with Gojo and discovered Megumins technique.

@@timeemit846 Kenny can hold 2 CTs at a time with his CT. At the moment he has Anti- Gravity and Cursed Spirit Manipulation. If he uses Gojo’s body he will lose Anti-Gravity in place of Infinfy. However, he risks Gojo fully taking back his body so I imagine he will use Idle Transfiguration to prevent that.

I like to think of it as choosing two points in the world and cutting everything in between them. It doesn’t matter how long that distance is, because as long as that area (gojos infinity in this case) is inside the points in the world Sakuna chooses, it all gets cut. Ive thought about it and i think the way it works mechanically is that he essentially managed to isolate the sure-hit affect of domains to his technique outside, but in order to do so you have to change the targetting parameters. Since domains dont target things specifically, everything in the bounds of the domain is the target. Now Sukuna doesnt even need to do that anymore.

This is easily one of the most brain dead developments in JJK and I find it VERY unlikely the series comes back from it. Gege could've just left Gojo sealed and removes him from the story so his overwhelming power doesnt get in the way. He takes the risk, has Gojo come back, and Gojo/Sukuna have a epic batttle. Sukuna wins only thanks to Mahoraga but loses him as well, meaning no more 10S. Okay Sukuna is a little OP but managable. Except now hes actually, totally, for real been holding back this whole fight (and totally not near death and getting clowned on during a 2v1) but he's so strong Gojo isn't sure he could even beat Sukuna without 10S (despite the fact that 10S carried him that whole fight) and now everyone else has to deal with Sukuna who is now getting a power up after killing off the strongest sorcerer who was in a league of his own. Sunkuna will eventually lose for the sake of the plot but whatever causes it will honesty feel like an asspull or at best plot armor. What a joke

Gojo had an edge in HtH while Sukuna had an edge in DE battle, it was a neck in neck battle, and the only one that broke that was Mahoraga. People seem to really struggle with the fight between Gojo and Sukuna and the statement that Sukuna was holding back stated by Gojo. Let’s not overlook the context shall we? Sukuna holding back only means he didn’t use all of his curse technique arsenal and potential weapon in the fight against Gojo of which he really didn’t need cuz that wasn’t his win conditions. He was fighting at his 100% with Megumi body and he was using it because it was his win condition and a much SAFER and SURE way to win along with the bonus of improving his main technique. Any of his other techniques that he may have are simply deemed unnecessary for this specific fight EXCEPT for a potential win from a domain battle in his original body but that’s just riskier compared to simply using Ten Shadows and saving it as a second life is way way better. Note that hiding his technique and true form can also be a strategic move of him against the others as shown in recent chapters but that’s not really important. Also, claims that Sukuna could have enhanced his Slash without Mahoraga are just unfounded. From the first appearance of Mahoraga it’s showed and implied that he is like a super computer exodia processing opponents over time. Even with Sukuna’s genius, do you seriously think he could have evolved his technique without the help of Mahoraga in the span of a single fight against one of the strongest sorcerer in all history ? Not saying he can’t pull it off but the time of a single fight is way too short and too risky to rely on that. Also, let's not downplay Maho's assistance here, it went beyond giving an idea. It literally taught Sukuna the entire process to bypass infinity and improve his technique akin to someone being taught how to build a CPU rather than just being told what it is. Ultimately, like Gojo I do believe that Sukuna was indeed the overall superior one. However the question of whether he could have won in his original form is an entirely different question as the fights in JJK are not like dragon ball’s ones where the stronger one just automatically win.

The way this is basically a weaker version of Yami's Dimension Slash still astounds me, considering Sukuna was more imposing when he used this skill. I feel like the way sukuna talked about the slash more of so hyperbole. Considering that infinity(the barrier) only slows down attacks, it makes more sense that he spawns the slash or teleported it onto gojo. Since we know characters can see it and even counter it(maho did it in shibuya) but it seems like gojo didn’t even get a chance to dodge. But this makes it seems like that infinity outer area/the edge of the barrier that we see as the aura functions more of so like a net and when attacks hit said net they slow down or in some cases get dispersed around gojo(sukuna’s first cleave/dismantle deflected off gojo’s barrier). Although it does make sense when you consider gojo’s infinity does seperate him from the world while it’s active.
