We barely see him in action. But i would say he's very expert at jujutsu and power. Against sukuna he was an ant without offense, tho, He stopped uzumaki attack which is crazy already. Facing sukuna and coming alive is already a big award

About what happened just before the stabbing,Megumi didn't let he foot slip. That was Megumi's own strategy. Megumi deliberately stepped on the rabbit, and just before he was stabbed, he put the rabbit back in the shadow, and also created a space in the shadow around Megumi's own feet, thereby slightly changing the position in which he was stabbed. In S1, there was a scene where Megumi made a shadow on the ground and stuck his hand in it, and Megumi also has a shadow space as an 'weapons warehouse', so I applied that. Megumi realised that he was no match for Touji in speed and that Touji would aim for his heart to finish him off with his next attack, so he fought in such a way to avoid a fatal blow and create a one-off chance to counterattack. This is based on the assumption that Ieiri is nearby and will treat him if he does not die, so Megumi is taking a chance. This way of fighting was probably the best way Megumi could think of, as fighting normally would be impossible to win and Touji would be too fast and short of time to make Megumi's 'trump card'.
