@@stephenberta629 No, it isn't their fault. Makora has always been the accurate name. Mahoraga are a race of deities in Hinduism and Buddhism, so it is not the name of any specific god. Makora, on the other hand, is one the Twelve Divine Generals in East Asian Buddhism. I am from France and the name is Makora in the French transcription of the manga, just like in the OG material, and both Megumi and the narrator lady said Makora in the episode. Don't know where the "Mahoraga" came from in the English transcription. And people keep insisting on it being the right name since yesterday just because they think it sounds cooler lol. The Malevolent Kitchen on the other hand was dumb... They should've just kept Malevolent Shrine.

@@Itachi951000 Malevolent Kitchen is also correct, I believe the whole pun/entendre of Sukunas Domain name is that the word for Shrine in Japanese originally meant a primitive form of a Kitchen. The play on words is that since Sukuna has chef related abilities (cutting techniques named fillet and dissect and a flame technique that we know of) and since hes a cannibal (gege confirmed this in a databook or somthing i forget where but not a spoiler) his Domain essentially is physically a Shrine to play into that whole shtick. I mean its clear Sukuna has chef inspired character details, hell even Uraume is confirmed to be his cook (also in a databook) and has a technique that could be considered related to the chef stuff too. I wont spoil what the technique is though incase you are unaware.

Personally this was a little hard to follow. It almost seems like a trend of some shows to mix a huge amount of flash and speed and it really gets difficult sometimes. Of course, it's still high quality and more a problem of direction rather than animation ability. I hope Mappa employees get treated better.

What a visually mesmerizing episode! That Mahoraga was a damn problem. It gave Sukuna more of a hard time than Jogo did, which is crazy. Megumi is a mad lad for goin with such a wild kamikaze attack. I guess Fushiguro had some craziness up his sleeve that we didn’t know about. And according to Gojo his potential is crazy. Seeing the capability of Malevolent Shrine was ridiculous. Those poor civilians never stood a chance, but it was unbelievable to see how much of force of nature Sukuna can be. Calling him a menace is an understatement and he’s such a bastard for telling Yuji to savor the chaos and destruction he wreaked. I can see this madness is taking a toll on Itadori, so I hope he’ll be okay as this wild ride progresses. It was so satisfying to see that piece of shit Shigemo finally die, it was about damn time. And my man Nanami is still alive! He needs to see Shoko IMMEDIATELY! Can’t lose him now after giving me hope.

@@SpaghettiElie all of these translations are basically accurate but can be read in more than one way (Malevolent Shrine/Kitchen are both right, for instance, the word is more 'Shrine' but I think contains a kanji meaning 'Kitchen', which is almost impossible to convey in English) but it feels weird because the manga has generally been translated differently. basically, the manga's translation (and the anime before this episode, weirdly?) is a little less close when it uses Dismantle and Cleave because that loses the deranged cannibal cooking theme but sounds cooler in English. at the end of the day they probably should've just stuck with the manga's translations because that's what people are used to now, but this isn't actually incorrect, and for some of the terms, it's actually closer to correct than the manga was. so it's just... overall a weird translation situation no matter how you fillet it

I mean its kind of hard to fault the Sukuna technique and Domain names because at the time they didnt know how big JJK would be, so why bother spending time and money on translations for a series that is still relatively small? I just wish they stopped deluding themselves and just correct it, for some reason they hate the translations being inconsistent more than being incorrect.
