That Suleiman allowed Afife to continue to deceive Hurrem, and that he allowed his side piece to worm her way into his family, without his wife knowing (Firuze belonged in the favorite's wing) was beyond disgusting. I agree. This story made no sense, it would be different if viewers could see and understand what the attraction was supposed to be with Suleiman and Firuze. She not only has no visible charms or attributes, she is without any talents, comes across as dull, fish-eyed and totally vapid. Her lack of personality and charisma is so obvious, and her raspy voice is grating to listen to.
