Suede Fabric Wrap on the interior A, B and C pillars of a car.
After parts were removed we used 3M 77 Spray adhesive on both the plastic parts and the back of the suede.The turnout was good and will be doing the headliner next.

The process you did was good but it can be done more efficient to the long term. If you sand down the plastic it will help the adhesive sink in. Im not trying to argue, this is a great video

+Eduardo Felix Its been about a year and its still looking good, but yeah ill keep that in mind for next time. I heard you can also torch it or wipe it with acetone? Does that help too? You should post some videos!

Sulihack i wouldnt sand the plastic just make sure surface is clean and use heat resistant adhesive. where didyou get this alcantara btw? can you recommend places to buy fabrics leathers etc

Sulihack I wouldn't torch nubuck/suede/alcantara but I think the heat it afterwards to slightly re-liquify the glue to promote adhesion to the sanded surface and I think the acetone/alcohol is used as a solvent to clean and completely strip the surface of filth and oils for a better application

Эрик Давидыч if your going to reupholster, I would get genuine nubuck. alcantara is a cheap eco friendly material but doesn't hold up well long term (shift knobs get rough after 1-2 years)

I started taking off the fabric realizing it was stitched in or some shit. Nearly impossible to get it off. I’m just gonna yolo it and use the spray onto the fabric. Super 77 is pretty strong.

It isn't noticeable unless you inspect it. Just make sure you put enough glue and that the seem isn't loose. Also, try layering it so the the overlap is not in the driver/passengers viewing angle.

What's the name of the company that you got the seude from? Kovi, Keyston Bros? Also, how did you apply the adhesive without it staining? Light coats?

Thanks for the video I plan on doing my pillars in my truck and car.Looks good. Any reason why you went with 3m 77 instead of 90? I keep reading bad things about the 77 not holding up to interiors..-Nigel

+NewShockerGuy It was the only thing available. If the 3m 90 adhesive is better then I would go with that. Right now there are no noticeable problems with the current 77 install.

Looks great but the process is wrong and with the adhesive used, sun will take it down with time. I am a professional upholter designer and I've done many sued works, including my own. It's really nice, just a tip.

Sulihack I just bought some Faux suede , applying it to few panels in my car. Some people saying that alcantara is much better then faux. If you had a chance to work with both of them, can you give me any tips or some extra info on what's the difference between two in real life ? Thanks

Spray can is horrible. Will eventually fall apart. Use weldwood and shoot with a gun. Sew the seams.
