Sullair 185 Compressor

In this episode we have a Sullair Compressor that is overheating due to poor muffler design. We remedy this by using a heat wrap to dissipate radiant heat in the engine bay. Therefore, dropping the temperature drastically by hundreds of degrees. As always, thanks for watching and stay tuned!!

On those metal zip ties, I've found it easier to use a small pick to push the metal ball as far back as possible while you're pulling on it to get the best lock

I have sullair that turn into an oiloholic any ideas what could be wrong? I add lube but eventually after a few hrs it starts to overheat

I need a little bit more information. What oil is the eating? Is it the engine oil or the air pump oil bear in mind that you could get overheated from both

Well, those compressors have shut downs systems that will shut down when it heats up it could be either the air pump, the engine, temperature, radiators are dirty it’s a number of things.
