Mustafa wasn't drunk at all. He has a clear thought and mind not intoxicated by alcohols despite drinking, he even refuted Sultan's law with brilliant mind... something that a total drunken man could not even able to think of (when he said Sultan's law on land, not on water). Murad realized it. And he let go of this man.

Alcohol is forbidden in Islam. This isn't historically 100% accurate, but it was within his power to forbid drinking.. So in this show, he did. I think in the show they tried to portray him as not completely rigid. I'm not sure how much I understand, but I'm working on it.

It's actually bad humor but it's remind me to a drunk truck driver in my country who hit a store with his truck and began to preaching about "fate" to the store owner and thr angry mob, he is saying that the store being hit by his truck is not his fault who driving while getting drunk but it's happened becuase God will it. 😂 lucky the store owner and the mob didn't hitting him and said "it's not our fault hitting you, but God Will".
