Pranams to Shri Visti Larsen my favorite Manas Guru, have never had the honor of ever meeting him in person but he is my most favorite spirtual personality if Sanjay is the Sun and Narasimha is Jupiter then Visti is Mercury which can pick out the nectar of knowledge for practical use from the ocean known as Jyotisha and we all unworthy students must approach this with the help of teachers like Visti lest we drown have read and re read his articles and listened to his wonderful classes in Denmark on BPHS and misc topics again and again getting new rays of insight on the same topic every time. Thanks a lot for such useful information on panchanga. There is slight difference between the sequence of fixed karanas b/w what has been mentioned in books and your ppt. As per the book the sequence is Shakuni, chatuspada, naga and kintughna. But in your ppt you have mentioned as Shakuni, naga, chatuspada and kintughna. My only question is reconfirmation of the lordship of Karanas.

I just wonder about the karana and 6th planet from it (counting from weekdays) being a bad dasha and yoga breaker - since Bachchan was born in a Moon rules karana, his 6th planet is Saturn from it - yet it was saturn dasha which gave his rise!? This is amazing stuff! I love the way Visti is teaching - so clearly and deeply. But in my chart the principle of Karana-3rd house doesn't work. I have Karana lord Rahu in 3rd house, I have never been a model, and I didn't feel the men were very attracted to me... When they were, it was mostly agressive and annoying, not in a pleasant way.
