That is why in my opinion Kosem was much better. She struggled worser times and in real history she never wanted her children to die, but as a woman, it was impossible for her to have full control. Suleyman lost his minds in power. Ordering the killing of two children is the worse sin. And when you think that their religion was allowing them. Hurrem provoked the death of Mustafa but it came back as a boomerang against her own child. I wish she was still alive to feel the pain. Ottoman history is so tragic and when ai think they had the base in religious beliefs, frightens me. What kind of god would allow the killing of a son or brother? Tragic times.

No religious beliefs. It was just game of attaining power
@alexpaul53412 ай бұрын
@@lily_x7z-k2y actually, it had a lot to do with religion. Behind most of their conquests, the reason was spreading Islam and even force Christians to convert to Islam. Ofc it had a lot to do with religion.

@@alexpaul5341 I have not watched this serial, only few clips on youtube. So I do not know what exactly it portrayed, but I can tell you about the teachings in Islam. Allah has forbidden upon us to forcibly convert people from other religions to Islam. Imposing Islam on non-muslims is totally against the Islamic legislation. Allah said in the Qur'an: "There is no compulsion in religion" meaning not to force anyone to become Muslim. Even in war and after conquest, Muslims have been commanded to respect others and let them practice their religions freely, with no provocation whatsoever. Allah commanded us in the Quran to say to the non-Muslims: "For you is your religion, and for me is my religion." I hope this clarified your views on Islamic teachings regarding this matter. One should not judge Islam by looking at the Muslims, because they indeed falter and fail to adhere to the Commandments of Almighty Allah, rather if you want to learn about Islam, read the Word of Allah (The Holy Qur'an) and read about the life of our Prophet Muhammad (may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) from authentic sources. may Allah bless you abundantly and honour you! Ameen

@@alexpaul5341 If this was true, there wont be any christians in Greeks and Balkans. Muslim doesnt force convert locals. Unlike your folks who force the Phillipines to convert by sword and musket.
