Prince Solomon, with his closest man, Ibrahim Pargam Ibrahim receives the bad news in a hunt. His father Yavuz Sultan Selim Khan passed away. Prince Suleyman sets out for Istanbul without waiting. Prince Süleyman quickly reaches the capital. He attends the culus ceremony without waiting. His life changed in one day. He started his life as Sultan Süleyman.
Meanwhile, a galley loaded with slaves coming over the Black Sea is heading towards Istanbul. The hottest of the slaves is not yet aware that he is on a journey that will change his destiny. He is rebelling helplessly to return.
Sultan Süleyman wants to show what kind of sultan he is by the commands he gave on the first day of his sultanate. But not everyone will like these decisions. Sultan Süleyman does not hesitate to challenge all of Europe with the messages he sends.
Alex, despite all his rebellion, is brought to the Topkapi palace. His attitude attracted the attention of Valide Sultan from the first moment. Instead she used him as her emotional support child and encouraging him when he went against his father. Hurrem on the other worked hard to maintain all of her children's relationships with Suleiman and his sisters. The only reasons Bayezid was executed in the show is because Hurrem wasn't there to protect him and he reminded Suleiman of Mustafa.

If only they got rid of Mahidevran at that moment. It would have changed everything. Mustafa would no longer be a threat to Hürrem's children, as he loved them and would never kill them (Mahidevran was the one wanting to kill them all). Ibrahim Pasha could have stopped the war, as Hürrem could accept Mustafa as a next sultan, as long as he never hurts her sons. There would be no reason for Hürrem to fight Ibrahim (even though they'd never like eachother, they both had the wellbeing of the sultan as their highest goal. And Valide Sultana could have become the respected Valide, without further troubles, respected by everyone, knowing that everyone has the good of the sultan and the Ottoman Sultanate as their highest goal. This would have been such a strong combination. But Mahidevran was an everduring poison, living of hate and revenge

The hierarchy of the harem was really messed up in this show. I also wonder why is Aybige's title "hatun" when they could just call her "princess" Aybige or something like that to hammer in the fact that she's still from the family? [and the "sultan" title is above the "hatun" one in the show's canon, hence Mahi is somehow superior to her in title and as her fiancé and future husband's Valide (even if the fandom doesn't think so :D)]

Since most of the show is made up, the hierarchy is never consistent. Sometimes Guffen precedes Hurrem and sometimes it's the other way round. But in reality Hurrem outranked them all even valide sultan because she was empress. Although she was not married until valide sultan died😄😄😄

Okay so, first Aybige is not from the ottoman royal family hence she is a guest and lower than anyone there. She is only high ranked in her own country. Second, the haseki sultan is the chief consort of the sultan and Mahidevran was the one until Hürrem married the sultan and took that title. Hence Hürrem is higher ranked now. Hatice is in a higher rank compared to the consorts and even Hürrem ( arguebaly) because she is the daughter of former Sultan and sister of the current (royal blood). In Ottoman Empire after the sultan, Valide sultan holds the highest position, second in rank. (Some argue if its the Vezir or Valide). Eventho Hürrem is Süleymans wife still not higher than the Queen Mother. In Ottoman empire the title "Empress" didnt exist, its just equivalent to it. So a "Valide sultan" is higher than a " Sultana". I hope this makes it clear to those of you watching too much fiction.

Hurrem is loved because she was smart, strong, courageous. She went through so much but won in the end. Her cruelty was necessar in my opinion. But she wasn't cruel or mean for no reason like Mahidevran. That's the difference between them. Hurrem made mistakes when she was young but she learned from them.
