@@camillaamadio7791 | how so? if you’re talking about her marriage with rustem pasha, it’s not hurrem sultan who arranged the married. suleiman really appreciated rustem and wanted him as a damat to the dynasty so he was the one who persuaded mihrimah to marry rustem. hurrem had chosen a pasha or governor of egypt who was described to be handsome as a groom for her daughter but suleiman’s persistence made mihrimah marry rustem. there is no evidence to prove that their marriage was unhappy. i personally think she must’ve been angry and sad because she was married to a man way older than her but then she realised the power he gave her which she started using to her advantage. so no, no one ruined her life. in fact, she led the most magnificent life amongst all the sultans [by blood] and no other sultan could reach her influence, wealth, intelligence, and her brilliant magnificence.

Mihrimah is in sultanate of women and the only princess that became valide sultan in the history of ottoman empire. A powerful valide sultan for Selim and an elder Valide sultan for Murad who appreciated his aunt soooo much that nurbanu didn't have much power in harem and so she focused on politics. After Mihrimahs death, safiye suffered a lot of pain by Nurbanu.

Elvin Hacizade They are not in the video. In the series they were all daughters of Ayse Hafsa Valide Sultan. In real life Sah was the daughter of another concubine, not Ayse Hafsa. But her mother might be named Ayse Hatun. There were also more sisters of Suleiman. Gevherhan Sultan, Hafsa Sultan and Sehzade Sultan. It doesnt look like the mother of Sehzade Sultan had other children because she is only written as the mother of Sehzade Sultan in the financial records of the Imperial harem, wich was in the Old palace at the time. Hurrem was the first woman to permanently live in Topkapi palace. She was also the first Haseki Sultan, the first to have more children after the birth of a son, and the first slave origin woman to marry the sultan. And also the first woman to marry a sultan since Mehmed ii. There would only be two slave origin women to marry the sultan for complete certain. Nurbanu to Selim ii and Telli Humasah to Ibrahim i. Safiye and Kosem might also have been married, but its not certain. Ayse Hafsa was a concubine of unknown origins and was the mother of Hatice (Hanim) Sultan, Beyhan Sultan, Fatma Sultan and Sultan Suleiman in that order. Hatice was first married to Iskender Pasha, and had four children with him. Iskender Pasha was executed in 1515. Hatice then married Coban Mustafa Pasha in 1517, they might have had two daughters but its difficult to say. Ibrahim Pasha was married to a woman called Muhsine Hatun. They had at least one son called Mehmedsah. There are several children we have record of but its difficult to say who they belonged to, because due to the myth that Hatice and Ibrahim was married. Some or all might be the children of Hatice and her husband, or some or all might be the children of Ibrahim and his wife. We do know that one of Hatices daughters died in 1582 and was buried with Hurrem. We dont know if it was Nefise Hanimsultan who was born to Iskender, or a daughter of Coban Mustafa. Because her name is not written on the plaque. Only her title Hanimsultan, the year she died and that she was the daughter of Hatice. A daughter of an imperial princess like Hatice were given the title of Hanimsultan. The only exeption to this rule was Ayse Humasah daughter of Mihrimah. Some also thinks that Fatma the daughter of Humasah sultan was given the title of sultan. Humasah was the daughter of Sehzade Mehmed, the son of Suleiman and Hurrem. It was Humasah that gave Safiye sultan to Murad iii. Humasahs real name was Ayse. Fahriyes real name was Fatma. They had two half sisters who were named Huma/Humasah and Fahriye, but they were not Safiyes daughters. Some think that Huma/Humasah was Safiyes daughter but its not certain because we dont know when she was born. If she was born in Manisa she was Safiyes daughter, if she wasnt she was not. Safiyes daughters had at least 26-25 (26 if Huma/Humasah was not their full sister) half sisters, 17 of them died of smallpox in 1597-1598. Apart from Fahriye and maybe Huma/Humasah there was Rukiye, Mihrimah, Mihriban, Hatice and three unnamed daughters. Dilrubas real name was probably Sah. She had one known full sister probably called Hatice, and three known half sister. Two were Handans, one of them were probably named Ayse. There were probably more sisters, but we dont know anything about them. There were 17 Haseki sultans, they were: Hurrem to Suleiman i. Nurbanu to Selim ii. Safiye to Murad iii. Kosem to Ahmed i. Ayse to Osman ii. Ayse and unnamed second haseki to Murad iv. Turhan Hatice, Saliha Dilasub, Hatice Muazzez, Ayse, Mahienver, Sacbagli, Sivekar and Humasah to Ibrahim i. Emetullah Rabia Gulnus to Mehmed iv. And finally Rabia to Ahmed ii. If they did not have the title of Haseki sultan they were Hatun. The first four haseki sultans were the most powerful. Only six of the 17 haseki sultans became Valide sultan. The first Haseki sultan was Hurrem. The first Valide Sultan was Ayse Hafsa. And the first imperial princess to be titled Sultan was a daughter of Bayezid ii Suleimans grandfather. The Valide sultan ranked the highest, then came the haseki sultan who bowed before the Valide sultan. Then came the mothers of a prince who did not have the title of haseki sultan. Then came the born Sultan who bowed before both the Valide sultan and the haseki sultan but not the mother of a prince that did not have the title of Haseki sultan. If they were not the living mother of the sultan, had been given the title of haseki sultan or born a sultan they were given the title of Hatun. Mahidevran and Mahfiruze Hatice were for example called Hatun, so was Handan and Halime untill they became Valide sultans.

ikr, anytime i saw her on screen my heart started fluttering at her imperial beauty and royal presence. it's a shame they didn't show her complete power in the series. she was overshadowed by hurrem all the time but in reality mihrimah was a court adviser to her father in political matters. it's true she didn't want to marry rustem but she maintained her marriage with him because it gave her more political power. it's a shame they just showed her running after men in the series. it should be the men running after her, not otherwise.

I feel the worst for: 1.Hurichihan-died cause of her love 2.Hatice - Got cheated on, stripped her own independence off just to make Hurrem sad,her husband was then killed by her brother and she died while not damaging a single hair of Hurrem which was her biggest goal 3.Geverhan- Never ever got what she wanted 4.Fahriye- Just wanted to live happily with her love and did everything she could for that
