Dylan …… this is sick !!! Absolutely stunning… I’m lost for words. I stumbled on ur channel and I can’t put it down. I’ve been watching and listening to mark and DS for the past 40 years. I know every note of every song I’ve heard it so many times. You don’t miss a single one and ur tech is so impressive. I would love to know what Mark Knopfler would say about it. “Holding a guitar like a Plummer holds a hammer ?” Lol!!! I literally can’t pick up my jaw off the floor. I wish for you to meet Mark and jam with him. Your channel must be bigger then what you have. You are an amazing talent and such a hard worker. Damn !!! ❤

@@dylanguitar04 Cool thanks, I am using 0.10 lately but I found much more difficult to replicate the vibratos. On the other hand the sound is more powerful. I read Mark was using 0.09 at the beginning but he was using 0.10 more recently. Keep the good work!

Man you are great with that thing. I was trying to learn how to play this but it was hard (for me) and I decided to do it "later", but after seeing this performance I actually got my strat and amp out of the closet (I hadn't played it in a few weeks, was busy)and decided to try again. Honestly, I prefer listening to this instead of the actual song. One of the things that irritates me with the alchemy live performance is how quiet that Mark's guitar was. I love how amazing you can play this song and your level of talent is amazing!

Sorry I didn’t use tabs. If you practice chicken picking slowly to a metronome and work your way up you can get going pretty fast. There isn’t really a tutorial on KZbin on how to play that but so just try to slow down the original alchemy video and hear out what he is playing.
@skullish8792 Жыл бұрын
@@dylanguitar04 I might be asking for a lot, but have you considered making a video about the finger style technique and showing how to do chicken picking, cause I don’t know if I’m doing it right and there are no videos explaining it:) And Mark would be proud of you
@dylanguitar04 Жыл бұрын
I’m not sure if I will be able to explain it any better in a video. You pretty much just alternate your thumb and pointer on on string with the right and and your left hand mutes the notes that you don’t want. In my opinion the left hand is more important than the right for this technique.
