Music now only exists to make money, I mean. How long do those new rap and pop songs live for? Who remembers them once they're off the radio, nobody. You look at a song like this and well, there's always gonna be a lot of people coming back, because it is memorable, it was a lifestyle. But now people just don't care anymore, trends last a few weeks.

@@patty8849 Sex Pistols were just a "fashionable" band with a great marketing machine behind them despite all the "rebel" and "punk atitude" that was, once again, fashionable. Maybe thats why they just released one album. Sid Vicious couldnt even play the bass and I never took them seriously. If you're gonna talk about British oldschool Punk there's a lot of much better bands out there like GBH, Chaos UK, The Adicts, Anti Nowhere League and many other. As for Ramones, they're on the top of my list and will always be, nothing fake about them and they're just the fathers of american punk rock, that alone says it all.

I love this song. I LOVE its SPIRIT. Dont conform. Dont fall in line. Dont work a nine to five. But realistically, what are the alternatives? Unless you're a famous traveling musician, its very bleak. Find a good job. One you love. With PEOPLE you love. Live a simple life. Live within your means. try to save money. Enjoy your simple life at your steady job. And listen to this song. And let it fill you with dreams of escaping, somehow... Art can be a good way out. I know there are a lot of content creators, too. But you need to work a steady job. Thats what I learned after years of rebelling against the system. Homelessness is no joke. Share a house with several good friends. So rent is actually affordable! But yeah, not a lot of options when it comes to rebelling against society. Now in terms of expressing yourself differently... There are SO MANY ways.

You know what makes this music video great? They’re just in totally relatable places. Outside of a corner liquor store. At a skate park. In front of some normal looking houses. You can very easily picture yourself there. Not to mention the fashion in this video is just such the epitome of the late 90s/early aughts crossover. Such a classic.
