Track describes the struggles of a strained relationship. The lyrics describe how the people in the relationship are constantly at odds, unable to communicate and trying too hard to make it work. The narrator is aware that they are in too deep and trying to stay above it by not going under or giving up.

What's wild is this song was never meant to be a Sum 41 song as it also had a "Sugar Ray" vibe to it as well. It was originally for the Canadian Reggae singer Snow, but it didn't work out with him so Sum 41 eventually decided to play it after it was on the back burner for a while. Wild how that happened and this turned out to be one of their biggest hits of all time. This and Fat Lip are truly wonderful and will forever be part of my childhood and upbringing during my skate board years in high school as well.

If you feel as though you are in too deep and can't seem to catch your breath, keep standing! Psalms 91:8 says that you shall only behold the reward of the wicked. This setback that you may be going through is NOT God trying to teach you something. It is the devil trying to get you to quit. Don't give him the pleasure of walking on top of you like a doormat!! Sum 41 and Simple Plan are canadian-born, Sum 41 is from Ajax, Ontario, Simple Plan is from Montreal, Quebec. The members of Green Day are canadian citizens at the time this is being posted.
