Anyone remember when you actually paid for music, artists had budgets for world class studios to stay in business, and because it took actual human talent to make music, only the really good music made it to the record stores and radio? Now artists need to sell their songs for endorsement deals and spend a ton of time touring to make a living. Unfortunately the music business has been in this trouble for years. See what Taylor Swift had to say about streaming services. Try to find a Garth Brooks song. David Crosby just recently had to sell his catalog. Watch the Sound City documentary. Compare the two worlds of then and now. It's a shame the way musicians, artists and studios are treated. Include the degradation of sound quality over the years, as digital music has become more and more compressed and simplified. So many people who have absolutely no business being in the music industry have been allowed to become stars, while hard working, talented musicians and instrumentalists and engineers, producers, technicians are all pushed aside.

It’s pretty solid music
@EJ-ov4kw3 жыл бұрын
@@goattheone6208 I agree! My comment was in support of real music, as opposed to anyone with the stage name "Lil" or "Soulja" for example lol. We live in the age of cheep sample tracks that wipe their ass across just about every genre nowadays. Real, really good music will not be found comming from major record labels anymore. The suits behind the streaming services sold out more than a decade ago, to these completely talentless, tone deaf morons with a drug habbit and a garage band beat. It's a shame, all that has happened to the music industry.

Can we take a moment to appreciate the lyrics? It really encapsulates the feeling of watching evil and lies infect the world and not knowing what to do about it. It was written in protest of the Iraq war, but it can be about anything. It’s non-specific in that way while having enough imagery and vicious frustration to feel genuine and applicable to every tragic or scandalous news story.
