thanks sir... you created my interest in ece ... i have done btech...in btech i didn't study though the majority of teachers were good....i started after btech for ssc ,bank and all that govt non-technical exams and some technical exams form(without prepare😑)...one day i was watching your lectures for BJT.... after watching your lectures i decided to go for technical also with preparation.... and you just make electronics favorite for me 😃... thanks again

in the second question also we are writing the SOP form of the given expression, but then it contradicts the fact that we write minterms for those combinations only for which output is high, but in the 2nd question 1st minterm is m0 , combinations for which doesn't give output as 1 it is 0 in Truth Table

That truth table is valid for question 1 only. In the 2nd question, the truth table is not given, but we can construct it since we know the function f has 1 value for minterms m0, m2 and m3. We get this information from the question.

in 2nd question m0 and m2 output is low. we should consider only high outputs in sop form, then how are we using low? can anyone help?

m0,m2 output is low for the function given in first question. For second question just neglect the output of the truth table given in video; as we have to check the output for the func. given in 2nd question.

Sir, my minimal result is Y = A + B for the function Y = m0 + m2 + m3. I solved the problem like this: Y = A'B' + A[B' + B] => Y = A'B + A => Y = A + B

In the 2nd example when we are minimizing the solution; A'B'+A.B'+A.B if i take the last 2 term(A.B'+A.B) and i reduce it my answer is A'B'+A. Can you explain me how to reduce it further to get the answer B'+A?????????

For example F=X+YZ =(X+Y)*(X+Z) [Distributive Law] Then in ur question A'B'+A Can be written as (A+B')*(A+A') As we know that A+A'=1 therefore =(A+B')*(A+A') =(A+B')*(1) [ A*1=A ] =(A+B')

in second example if we give A=0,B=1 that is m2(minterm 1) the result for F=A'+B is 1 .but its not as per truth table

That depends on other terms, if there is any non standard product term, based on number of missing variables number of minterms will increase. If only one variable is missing then number of terms will increase by two....For details visit my channel....

Sir , if we taken negative logic system instead of taking positive logic system then will be still take 0 for A and 1 for A compliment. As no of terms in POS and SOP will be get interchanged is we follow 1 for A and 0 for A compliment. I hope you gotten my question 😥

As i know, the standard form is the minimal form you are mentioning, yet the canonical is the form that contains all the min/max terms!!

you should not mix up the order of 01 or 10. 01=1(2^0) but 10=2(2^1).hope that answers your question.

We're writing the minterms only when the output is high for the corresponding function. But, in Q(2), for m0 you're taking A'B' while the output is low according to the given table in Q(1). I can't understand this part. Please explain.

Y output (0,1,0,1) is applicable for qn 1 only. Qn 2 is different from qn 1. For qn 2 since Y(A,B)= Σm(0,2,3) therefore the output will be (1,0,1,1)
