This Suman Nilambiran is just like the basic Suman Malagkit combined and twisted with two different flavors. This method of making this Suman is famous in Leyte.
Originally, the white and black variety of glutinous rice is being used here... in the absence of black rice, I uses chocolate powder instead.
Ingredients:
for the white mixture:
1/4 kg bigas malagkit
3/4 cup sugar
2 1/2 cup coconut milk
1/4 tsp fine salt
for the chocolate mixture:
1/4 kg bigas malagkit
1 cup brown sugar
2 1/2 cup coconut milk
1/4 tsp fine salt
1/3 cup cocoa powder
1 tsp vanilla essence
