I recently got selected in CSIR NBRI Lucknow for PhD admission. It's still really hard to believe. But I have hope of giving promising results in my PhD and hoping to more research work in botany field.

@@nachithasm6859 NBRI and any other AcSIR institute takes admission in two session in year(aug and jan) right now forms are being filled for jan session. Interview will be in both format offline and online but offline mode is been preferred mostly. You should contact any scientist in NBRI under whom you wanted to do your PhD. Before the interview and after the interview also if you get selected in interview. After you get selected in final list then they will ask for fees submission which is 12000 rupees for regular candidates. 1 or 2 weeks from this you will be asked about scientist preference and they will also give you the list of scientists under whom seats are available. After 1 or 2 weeks from this they will give give you the date for document verification (this is the step where you HAVE to be present in Lucknow NBRI offline). But don't wait for date to come if possible move to Lucknow as soon as you get mail for document verification. Meet the scientist personal and convince them that you want to do PhD under his supervision. If you get late then may be you will not get the seat under whom you want to do your PhD. If you applying in jan session then form filling is ongoing right now. And it will take approx 5 months to complete whole process that I have just described.

You can give net exam if you score great then do phD with JRF and do your research work . A great career option in botany section
