Now I am very deep, I recently had a suicide march. I turned 31 in December. Since 2018 I am a heavy smoker again. I was a strong pain reliever addict, I almost became an alcoholic and I am a woman. I'm ashamed, but I know where the problem comes from, what went wrong. I've been a fan of the band for 20 years, I love Jonathan's voice. Yesterday I could cry terribly, I burst into tears to the song What it is, even though I haven't cried for about 2 or 3 years. I redefined what I was living for. But then I think about it a little bit, I have a task, I just can't fulfill it because Epilepsy is my shackle. 😢

In middle school Johnathan Davis became my idol. I went to a small show at the local civic center, and I was amazed. After that JDs music was in every stage of my life. From being torn down from bullies, and everything in between, was his musical inspiration, eventually leading to my rising up, as he played, what felt like the musical soundtrack of my life, giving me confidence, courage, and hope. I became that girl, whose same bullies later asked her for dates. I was so inspired, my high school ring proudly says korn, as nothing inspired me more. Saving me, I pay that foreword. Symbolic to this video, You are my guardian angel, who pieced together a broken heart . 😊. Thank you. I dream that one day I can thank you myself, for being an integral piece of my life, then, now, and forever, as you continue to inspire me, and many others. A true and powerful talent.

I’ve come face to face with the reason people go to church. I’ve touched that. I’ve held it in my hands. It is pure serenity. Some may call it God. Have lost a lot of friends to the same sickness, including my oldest son and brother.. This song really hits the nail on the head..From someone that has been in your shoes, losing someone you love with all your heart and soul to this sickness is horrible. Takes a piece of ur heart, that void never gets filled, you just learn to live with it.. Its not their fault they get this sickness and it takes a toll on ur whole family and friends.. JD is talented beyond just his music. the fact if you watch, really WATCH, the vid, his looks, and mannerisms convey everything the song is saying. if you played this silently and watched, you'd still understand. he looks like the devil and possibly dangerous the other guy is clean and nice-looking, safe, but the truth of the two is the opposite. The fact that he can convey that all visually as well as being ridiculously good at making music leaves me baffled in the best way.

[LYRICS] I may not act like I'm torn apart But blood don't look deep red when the dark Surrounds me I may be frozen, numb from the fight The pain belongs to me But your love surrounds me Surrounds me, surrounds me I don't feel hunger, I don't need air There's blood in my veins 'cause I know you are there I don't need shelter, nothing at all The reason I'm here Don't you know that you're all of my basic needs I may be crippled by my mind Your silence haunts my head And they always find me I may be used to feeling this way Almost forgot remembering too Remind me, remind me, remind me I don't feel hunger, I don't need air There's blood in my veins 'cause I know you are there I don't need shelter, nothing at all The reason I'm here Don't you know that you're all of my basic needs 🎼🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵🎵 I don't feel hunger, I don't need air There's blood in my veins 'cause I know you are there I don't need shelter, nothing at all The reason I'm here Don't you know that you're all of my basic needs My basics needs My basics needs. ---------------------------------------------------- [мя яоgеяs]

VERY true there. Jonathan has went through so much in his life. I've listened to Korn since I was about 14-15yrs old and now I'm almost 39. I gotta give it to him. He has held it together so well. And for all his kids as well. So much love and respect!

This man has gotten me through the darkest times in my life. Ill be 34 this year, spent my teenage years on the streets, in and out of jail, and in psyche wards. From the early korn days until today and many years to come. You jave saved so many of us and we are forever grateful!!! My kids love your music too. Mostly your later stuff, they are still too young for the full korn experience!

Lost my mom to cancer this year. Perfectly describes just how much she means to me. I miss her every god damn day. JD has always had a way with words and emotion. Can't thank him enough for the art he's created over the years.

@@Big_E85 Sorry for your loss man, pay no mind to the trolls, even they need nourishment. Perhaps they never got it through there own mothers. I am a religious man. Whether you believe in god or not, or are just spiritual in a sense. You will find her again, for energy cannot be destroyed. :)

Incredible. I wasn't sure about the video for the first few moments, but as soon as the storyline was well underway, I began seeing how this relates to the song and JD's legacy. Powerful messages embedded within the images and lyrics. I've always considered this song to be Jon's own personal "4U" to his fans, and now after seeing the video I'm left speechless. Good thing I can still type my thoughts out. This video cuts deep, and the middle instrumental jam is very appropriately tripped out!

I get the gist of this song as jonathan’s basic needs are his family , that’s all he lives for and we are fortunate enough to see this side of him .

Man this really hits home. I've been to LA, Hollywood and a couple of beaches in CA. There is no shortage of homeless in that state. My heart goes out to the youth on the streets. I was a homeless teen so now I help anyway I can. Love you JD, always will.

This song reminds me of two very changing points in my life. The first being when I was homeless before even graduating high school. All I had was a tent and my best friend (the only true friend I've ever had). It also reminds me of the way my dad was living prior to his incarceration. They have tablets in some jails now, so I had him listen to this song and told him to think of it when he feels hopeless. It also reminds me of my brother. I wouldn't have had the strength to make it through childhood without him. Thank you for sharing your heart & experiences with us, JD. You've helped us in so many ways through your music.

I love this man so much, he saved my life in the darkest moment with his music. I'm so sorry about Deven. My heart goes out to him and his children. In everything this man does you can feel his soul and for that I wish I could hug him and say thank you. Thoughts and prayers with the Davis family, love you J.D.
