This might not be the best place for this but I have no where else to vent right now. A month and a half ago my mom was diagnosed with three different types of stage 4 cancer. I was sitting in a detox in south Florida when I found this song and balled my eyes out. I just found out 20 minutes ago that shes gone. I’m glad I was able to give her the peace to see me sober before she passed but I’m so mad at myself for not doing so sooner. I’m writing this as I’m on the way to see her body for the final time. I love you mom. May you rest in peace and be free of pain. I promise me and my brother will make you proud.

I hope writing this helped to ease your grief. It's been 6 years, this December, of her passing. Moments like this refresh the pain, but grief will always come in waves. It never fully goes away. I lost my mom 3 years ago to cancer, it’s a horrible pain to go through, and I wasn’t even as close to my mom. I still swear that I could feel the moment she left, and I’ll never forget that. That pain is unforgiving. This song is such a beautiful tribute to your mom, and I still have a hard time listening to the lyrics “you’re my mother don’t disappear”. I haven't been able to bring myself to comment since first listening to this when it was released but no matter how many times I listen to this song even if it's on repeat, I can't stop myself from crying. The raw emotions I can feel and hear just tug on my heartstrings. I've played this song for my sisters a few different times and they cry as well. We lost our mom the day before Easter in 2019 along with our grandma because the man my grandma thought she loved for 17 years decided to take their lives. So many people pass away and no matter how it happens, it's still so traumatic. You guys are such strong people and I've listened to your music since the Bastards era. I've loved every song I have listened to, but this is one is the most relatable. It's so emotional and heartbreaking yet also calming. Thank you guys for this masterpiece. I wish you well on your healing journey with lots of love and care, your mother is definitely looking down on you guys with a proud smile.

We had my good brother and his gf around and the song popped up on autoplay after "Dead to me". The first notes already clinged to my auditory canal so I looked up the lyrics while the other had their conversation and tears couldn't be held back. Lost my mother to lung cancer almost 2yrs ago. 2 month, 1 day, 10hrs and 40min to go. It would be her 68th birthday in 8 days. Thanks for this song.

I listen to a lot of emotive music but this one has been the 1st one that stroke me this way. I have the best mom in the world and growing up you realise that one day she will not be there by your side. I've been crying for that song for three months now. My mother committed suicide in 2017, I understand what it feels like to lose a mother, especially when it is the only family you have. I'm glad you guys are moving forward, though, there's never any other option. I send you strength from Argentina! You three are great, you were able to handle the pain and continue with the tour but that doesn't take away the pain, you never get over that but, at least, you always give your best :) your fans are proud of you three, although... personally. .. I'm in the same boat. Lost my mom to cancer about a month and a half ago. It still feels unreal and I honestly think it's because my brain cannot cope with the trauma of actually accepting that she's gone. I also want to blame myself and feel guilty over things, but I know I shouldn't. I don't know you or your mom, but if my mom is anything to go on, she would hate it if I blame myself for anything.
