I try this with a sample Data that looks like your sheet but it ants me to use array. not = I love to try and follow along. am I missing something I follow the instructions as best as I could

Dear friend, I have a question, how do i SUMIF the data of a column, if the condition of the other column is that the text starts with "Jo*" OR "Isa*"... it is correct to use wildcard "*" ?. In your example I want to SUM if the names are JOse OR JOhn.

you have to use sumproduct for this. check videos on this function and you should be fine (the one from Leila Gharani was super helpful to me)
