偶然お勧めに上がった住谷さんの動画です。クラシックサックスの音色の最高峰でしょう。皆さまが言われるように最後には自然に涙が。小生はジャズサックスを吹いていますが、サックスの美しさを再発見しました。ピアノのマツモトさんの美しさともぴったり合っています。

I have never commented before, but this performance was just too sublime and so beautifully played. I first watched your performance of Waignein's Rhapsody a month ago, and it was just incredible. I have listened to almost all of the recordings of that piece, and none come near the level of musicality you achieved with your accompanist. It was so moving that it inspired me to learn that rhapsody (almost done mvmt 1 now). Your tone is very clear and pure, and you create such a smooth and natural flow to the music. The pianist is phenomenal as well, and the connection between you two gives life to the music you play and makes your performances really captivating. Thank you so much for posting this and for your dedication to music. I can't wait to hear more of your playing! :D

素人の眼には、住谷さんはサックスで甘く切ない音色を表現したいのでは、と忖度します。弦楽器に寄せるベクトルもありますが、今回は木管の基本に立ちかえって柔らかい音色に寄せたように聞こえます。華やかで、艶っぽく、「この世をば、我が世とぞ思う望月の欠けたることもなしと思えば」のイメージです。しかし、光あれば陰あり、幽玄の美も趣があるように感じます。多彩なバリエーションに期待します。
