Actually, Stanhopea inodora does have a fragrance. Not as powerful as the other species, but it smells like cinnamon.

And, if I understood, that's the reason why it's no longer called inodora, but ruckerii.

I LOVED the stanhopeas. I dream with the day I can grow stanhopeinae to a big size, love many species. Many of those cattleya were nice, but Im a scent person so I dont trust a flower I dont know the fragrance of :P Recently I got some new cattleya, went from 1 to 5 so hopefully they do well for me and I start liking more and more this alliance :)

I like bifoliates, well and kerrii. You will never make me like labiates :P I think I like most citrus and white blossom scents :) My Siam Jade smelled like a fresh night jasmine, it was amazing ^^
