Summer you are very correct. I was in that church that same time. That particular branch was situated five junction, around Iheya on your way to Uniben. We had some of committed PCF leaders then.. bro Garventa, sis Eunice, the twins in the choir etc. Pastor Tom Amenkhienan was at the Airport Road then being the HEADQUATERS.

It was through his teachings I repented after watching atmosphere for miracle on television the church address in aba was written on the screen I went there the following Sunday believing that I will see pastor Chris life but I met the residence pastor archie aseme his teachings and pst Chris is the same thing I had nothing to loose later I was told that pst Chris is in lagos then I joined usher, music department, I started confessing positive in every word I say and things I do my life started changing for good. I know pastor Ngy even before they married, pastor okwudiri was assisting pastor archie then in 106 aba owerri rd. I started building my faith by the teachings could gain admission in abia poly, did my IT in the bank what I declare must happen my faith grew I preach christ in my house, public places, buses, in campus. I didn't meet pastor Chris for one day but only listen to his teachings on tape and other avenues. I met pastor Chris for the first time in my life as an usher when we hosted atmosphere for miracle in aba abia state. I am in Europe today because of the foundation I received about God's word from pst Chris and pastor archie our residence pastor from christ Embassy. If not for the tithe you pay and being a partner to propagate the gospel of christ jesus on television books and other medium I wouldn't have been saved. Many more has been saved through your tithes and offering and it is in record in heaven am not saying it is a prerequisite to make heaven. I don’t normally comment on your post. I attended Christ Embassy in London for over a year and left because of ever demanding for money. At that time they had 7 partnerships and the expected membership join one or two and must be actively financially contributing monthly. During pastor Chris and his wife, members are forced to contribute, they tagged if ‘offering 7. They have cell groups, where services are held in a rented halls and members are paying rents for these gatherings as well as expected to offerings during this service. I agreed members idolised Pastor Chris and their pastors, they cannot give testimony without reference to pastor Chris. You are doing a great work, keep talking and if you manage to safe one person from pastor worship, you have saved a nation.

Most Pentecostal churches are run by cleaver business men and women, where members of the church are encouraged to evangelise to get more people and expected to buy the material distributed during when evangelising. When your new recruits become a member and started paying tithes and offering. Who gets it?.. The churches of today are where members are shareholders without sharing profits.

I completely understand this. I also left Christ Embassy about that time too, precisely 19yrs ago. I joined a branch in the north through NYSC mobilisation. I joined the choir too and rose through the "ranks to become a PCF leader'. We practically idolized Pastor Chris. We don't even call him Pastor, it's Rev Chris..you can call your local pastor a 'pastor' and Pastor Chris, just pastor. We left for Atmosphere For Miracle, made to provide for our transport, hotel, uniforms, special seeds, offerings, messages band tapes. ALL tapes and messages must be bought, even if you can't afford it. The pressure was just too much. We were meant to augment offerings from our members if it wasn't enough. Contribute for Pastor's Birthdays.. usually a car every time. Building projects usually saps our little income. There was Super Sundays, Dollar Sunday, First fruit services. Infact, most of us sold our properties we owned then and were made redeem them with cash. I even finished the Ministerial School then in Abuja, that was 2004. Pastor Chris's father was alive then and took us in Eschatology. Even my local pastor was practically idolized. All CEC members were idolized. Healing School, LMM, LMC, ROR was a huge burden cos of bills to clear, and among PCF leaders it was a huge competition. Everything was monitized. I had experiences that are not pleasant at all. I was a core member, so it's verified. Even when I had the opportunity to meet Rev Tom, as we call him, it was as if you are meeting God. The pastors are just God of men not Men of God. Thank God, am out too.

Just going to touch on a few aspects. singing: CE sings in English simply because it is imperative everyone understands what is being sang so we done ignorantly confess something that is not online with the word of God. Men of God: some people do idolise their men of God. That is what the INDIVIDUAL member does NOT pastor asking them to. Sometimes it’s due to the impact they had in those people’s life through the word of God. They are showing gratitude just like a child will ‘idolised’ their parents. Only very few go too far but you will have that everywhere in different ramifications. Money: it is the LOVE of money that is the route of evil. Money however is important, even in the gospel. During the time of Jesus Christ the disciples had a treasurer in Judas, his LOVE of money caused him his life. However, money was imperative during Jesus’ time as well as it enables them to do what they needed doing to spread the gospel. In CE nobody is forced to give anything, you are prompted to exercise your faith in giving as to help promote the gospels but you are free to do or leave it. It is only a few pastors that can execute this task a bit forcefully. There’s much more to comment on your video but that’s for another day. God bless you Overall it’s a

Jesus said...He will build His church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it. Know where you belong. A child of God must be willing to be guided, instructed, and corrected by the word. Christ Embassy may not be for you, but it doesn’t mean it’s not a Church of Christ. I have worked as a Protocol Officer In the ministry, and I understand the whole do not take pictures without permission. There have been instances where people took pics of Pastor Chris or members and used it for false stories, and the church has tried to clamp down on that. You may argue that there are pictures and the internet already, but nothing tends to endorse a story than real-time pictures or clips. I do not agree that the young man should have been pushed or harassed, as it could have been handled better. That was totally on that individual (the Protocol Officer) Secondly, with regards to songs in languages or pidgin…We do have them, but you would hardly hear it at the global stage because of the various backgrounds of the people in the service. However, in recent times we have had such at the global stage with artistes like Jahdel, Testimony, and Password. Christ Embassy started from the City and has moved into villages, and in these villages, songs are done in languages also. We even translate Rhapsody into those languages. On idolization: Do you really think Pastor Chris asks anyone to idolize him? When I was in school, I had this lecturer whom I could stay in his class the whole day, just because of the way he lectures. He makes it interactive and easy for me to understand. I would always say good things about him and held him in high regard. Does that mean I idolize him? I agree that some members can be extra and overreact, because they hold their Pastor in high regard. However, that does not mean the Pastor asked them to do that. The Church is full of both mature and immature people, and they act based on their level of maturity.

She knows this but must peddle rubbish to get traffic. It is not new brother. In the days of Magazines all failing magazines wrote one flimsy story or the other to garner followership. Once you mention Pastor Chris even on KZbin, obscure bloggers gain traction. Someone is angry about pidgin as if pidgin is the issue. Christ Embassy is a church of the spirit, worldly, rubbish, fleshly meaningless songs won't be sang there. Pastor Chris always said God had a global vision for the church. That is why you will never hear him address himself as a Nigerian Pastor. His calling was for the whole world and excellence is the only way to go. So whether pidgin or any language the excellence of the music was all that mattered. And by excellence I mean, the words or content of the song.

They will wage spiritual warfare on you, fighting you to death when they notice you know the truth! Imagine Jesus fighting his own body! These prosperity teachings have gone too far...! which church do you attend? tell people to leave a church without telling them where to go is very dangerous. if people have to follow you, but most of your video is just you posting different types of video but those videos don't talk about God or salvation or heaven... who are you? what are you trying to achieve? do you wanna get more subscribers on youtube so you can now start making your own money? one thing I like about you is you are beautiful and you look youthful but you sound like you still searching yourself spiritually, I was so desperate to hear what you gonna say...but it looks like you seriously need to search your heart so that you can be sure of what you want out of all this. Don't become a preacher just because you were offended or disappointed or hurt? become a preacher for a good reason otherwise, you may become even worse than those you are criticizing. don't get me wrong I am not saying believe everything you are told or believe everything you see; the point I am trying to make is before you help others, make sure sure you yourself are in good shape if not you and those you are trying to help will drown together. and will one day hold you accountable for lost souls. this is just free advice because I couldn't reconcile anything out of what you were saying. some of the musicians of that church sing in pidgin English and sing traditional songs, people like Frank Edward, Buchi, Eben, Tb1... and many more and I realize you and many more went to that church for wrong motives(wearing pant, follow the look and the accent of the pastor) and now you wanna blame it on that pastor, why don't you blame it on yourself? and another point you say they were only preaching in a suburb area, not in villages when you start a church you have to start from where you are and expand, right now their churches are even in villages..about the money, I have never seen our African people criticizing catholic church for having school everywhere and the pope as the head of that church after all paul the apostle had churches in many cities(Corinth, Ephesus, Rome,...etc), I personally had studied to one off the most expansive schools at some point I could see the sacrifice that my parent was making, see no black man has ever complained about white people but if you see another black man doing the same thing, you will criticize him to the bone. I have seen and read some of the philanthropic actions that church does(inner city, university renovation, send a rescue relief team during disaster ..etc)..when we watch soccer,we see coca-cola and other big companies sponsoring those big games now if you have a vision of spreading your ministry across the globe, it is only making sense that Christians that believe in your vision should sponsor it. I have seen that the pastor of that church has written a lot of books does he has the right to enjoy that money? if not why? but you don't have a problem seeing doctors and lawyers becoming rich. have you ever read about king David, Solomon, job, king soul(paul), joseph, Isaac,jacob...and so many more were very rich, now if we wanna follow your admonition it means all those people are in hell right now? sister, I am not recommending pastor Chris to you in any way but I want you to do what you are doing with the right motive.

Success or failure is a choice. Pastor has given out all the principles for a successful and godly life and it is the CHOICE of those under him to follow. Those who follow get excellent results and those who don't well.... Pastor cannot force them to walk right if they don't want to.

You were talking about the camp meeting in Lagos. That must be 97 or 98. Keep on doing what you are doing. In Africa, churchgoers believe in listening to the word 24 hours a day but do none of what they hear. Idolatory is real in Africa

As a Pastor I’m often saddened..(and pray for) fellow servants who fail to teach the Lordship of Christ!! Little wonder, many are “joining the church” rather than making Christ Jesus their Lord and Saviour!! May God help us!! Christ paid the ultimate Price for our deliverance and freedom from sin....I know His Heart bleeds when those for whom He died are not given the opportunity to know HIM....instead, they are “having a form of godliness.....” while still on their way to eternal damnation. Thank you...Bless you for making this video...And I pray the HS will convict many....Blessings

She is not interested in this. Use the eye of the spirit (the word)to see what this is about. If you left a church, fine, why don't you speak about the new one you are in. Forget the one you left na abi why is it paining your body like this? That is what she should be asked.

In my opinion, this is an excellent video. It is God that revealed (opened your eyes). This is the longest KZbin video I have ever watched to the very end. This is why I love christianity; salvation is personal, on that day it will be a one on one thing. Your pastor will not open the gate of heaven for you to enter. Get your Bible read it from A to Z and ask God for understanding, God will definitely give you the understanding if you ask.

Sister thank God He is using us at this end time to wake up millions blinded. I live in London now and I used to be Christ embassy member back in the days in his HQ Lagos. I left the Churchone day I came for a Sunday Service, and saw people spending millions buying Chris Oyakilome’s worn suits. I cried seeing that and made a vow not to take him as who I thought he was. Greed, Ego, Pride and obtaining in false pretence is not of God.

My sister, you’re completely right. Unfortunately, it’s increasingly becoming the norm for churches to preach prosperity and hero worship pastors. A lot of church members can do almost everything for their pastors, but they will not perform their primary obligations toward their own husband/wife.
@donnie79er4 жыл бұрын
Summer Aku Vlog I can confirm most of what you're saying and I believe I was at that Total Experience program in Lagos too. And If I must say, CE always stopped people from taking pictures particularly because of bad press who could use them for harmful stories. And yes, they now have churches in villages and they do sing local songs... And they now do take care of their choirs too ....lol. However, I recently (just over a month ago) left for even deeper reasons at the instruction of The Most High. All I can say is my soul has found its rest. It goes beyond CE, I do not think the Christian church as a whole is ready for what's coming. There needs to be an awaking before we are taken unawares. I will stop here for now.

You have just very well written. All she said were in the past but she conveys it as if it's still 100% so now. Also, I see a lot of sentiment and personal feelings in her opinion. Actually, there's a lot going on with Christ Embassy that look somehow, but there's also a lot that has helped so many people. I, for one, came out of depression and understood my authority in Christ thru Pst Chris' messages, though never been a member. I only keep praying for CE and the whole body of Christ everywhere.

Hi Summer. May the blind see. The Lord himself told me he has left these big churches. It’s a shame that that his children are still not awakened and discerning. They need to fix their eyes on Jesus. Christ in you the hope of Glory. The inner Christ is the teacher and he will guide you into all truths if you focus on him. His Spirit is in dwelling in us and the time has come for believers to turn to the inner Christ. By the way you look amazing for someone in your forties. You can see the Light emanating from you. God bless. You can even sing. Amazing.

You have such a beautiful voice ma’am. FYI, the strategy for Christ embassy may have been to take the Gospel to the seats of commerce and commercial hubs in all regions. This ensures the Gospel spreads more easily through trade and transport back and forth from the epicenters of influence into the villages. Some churches operate this way. Also I am very uncomfortable with the idolization of Pastor Chris. It is one of the pitfalls especially in mega churches where a super charismatic preacher holds so much influence over the congregation. It is borderline cult like. I am happy you saw it for what it was and grew past it. Thank you for your videos.

Pastors focus these days is money, you can imagine a pastor telling not speak against any pastor even if they are wrong so that i don't invite the wrath of God and challenge him right in front of him, the pastor was surprised and he was confused. I told him God doesn't kill anyone because you are correcting them

Me myself I left christ embassy but we I would say that alot of people praise pastor chris not nesasarily put him on the same level as God but as appreciation for bringing a posetive and inspiring messege that we hadn't heard from alot of pentecostal pastors, he has allowed people to believe in themselves. He himself has never said 'Praise me' or taken the attention of Jesus. Churches are a business wheather we like it or not, even the Catholic Church is very rich. Every church has scandals and the main reason I returned back to church is because its a family, a community. I don't always believe what is done there is right. The story of the boy is sad. I personally don't think people are that gullible to idolise him as jesus just the same way you know he's not jesus but maybe people look up to him, the same way as kids we all grew up with idols like Beyonce, Michael Jackson people who inspired us. Secondly, there should be ways to voice complaints and suggestions in the church but because people don't complain no wonder the choirs will not have their uniforms even provided for. Thirdly, in our branch we use to be allowed to sing our native songs as long as you translate but it wasn't always pushed because they are an international church and some may complain that they dont understand because you may sing something contrary to the word of God

I should probably leave my church too. Last week we gave gifts to the seniors who have contributed over the years in different ways. Money, time you name it we celebrated them...hmmmm. What I really want to say though is this... the Bible says don’t get into arguments about religion, Doctrines etc. read unna Bible and stop this nonsense. You all can’t truly love God. The devil fools you into believing that you are opening eyes to truth but what you are really doing in truth and fact is the devil’s work in stopping the undodly from going to church because 9/10 times they say “ the church” universal is no good . They hardly ever narrow it down to one church. May I suggest if you don’t like the practices of a church move on. It’s no one’s assigned duty by Jehovah to bring down anyone. Jesus clearly stated...I AM building MY Church AND the gates of hell SHALL NOT prevail against it. Nowhere in the Bible did Christ say he needs us to expose this or that church. Humankind takes so much liberty they shouldn’t take and do more damage than good. It’s malicious.. stop it!

@@maxxitee4761 this is the issue so many devils have hid behind this shield to perpetrate evil, i mean rape, lies etc. One thing I know that is even greater than the bible is the truth. Look at what the bible says about men of God and the context. The worst part is we are so religious yet we still believe these lying pastors and thier fake miracles. I am yet to see a blind man or lame man i know get healed, they are always ppl who just came from thin air.
