Most people now about Whistler in the Winter as they are famous for their Ski and Snowboard resort. However, not many people come to Whistler to experience the summers here.
This week, let's check out what its like to spend the summer at Whistler. We spent the weekend camping over at Riverside Campground which is just a mile or so away from Whistler village.
--------------------------------------------------------
Riverside Campground hosts a plethora of different overnight stay options. The one we opted for was just staying in one of their campgrounds. However, they have options for those looking to stay in Yurts, Cabins, or trailer camping.

Sea to Summit Hike
Came here to check out some beautiful scenic hike over at the Sea to Summit Hike which is located in Squamish. There are a couple of options that most people opt when visiting this location.
If you're looking to just get to the top of the mountain, you can take the Gondola up. The costs for Gondola however is $65 CAD, however if you're feeling more adventurous and have some time, I highly recommend taking the Sea to Summit hike.
According to the website and trailhead information, the Sea to Summit hike is a 6.5km (one way) with an elevation gain of ~2900ft. (I made the mistake of converting 800m poorly in my video. Stupid Imperial system... ) It should take on ~4 hours to get to the top.
The ONE thing you wont be able to see if you decide to take the Gondola is that you will miss out on seeing Upper Shannon Falls. It is a beautiful little waterfall stream that creates the Shannon Falls that you see on the bottom. Beautiful sapphire blue water and very refreshing.
More information about the Sea to Summit Hike can be found here: www.seatoskygondola.com/

Brandywine Falls
A quick stop to seeing a beautiful 250ft waterfall. ** PARKING IS A TRAVESTY **
A little warning. When we came to visit Brandywine Falls, it was during a rainy day and as a result not a lot of people came to visit. The day after, we decided to try and stop by again, and parking was backed up all the way towards the entrance.
The parking is narrow and many people opt to "wait" instead of driving out and trying to find a spot somewhere else and as a result, it creates a bottle neck. So if you see parking backed up from the entrance, I HIGHLY recommend everyone drive somewhere else, park, and just walk to the trailhead.
The trail to get to Brandywine Falls is easy and should take no more than 10-15 minutes to get to the viewing platform.
--------------------------------------------------------
Train Wreck Trailhead
Decided to visit another relatively easy trailhead to check out a unique site known as the Train Wreck Trailhead. Besides being a walking trail to check out some abandoned graffitied trains, Train Wreck trail also hosts an expert to extreme expert biking trail for those mountain bikers looking to get an adrenaline rush.
Don't forget to check out the suspension bridge that goes over the Brandywine River that leads to Brandywine falls!

Noteworthy places to visit:
Rainbow Trailhead:
If you guys are looking to check out some more things to do, visit Rainbow Trailhead just 10 minutes or so away from Whistler village. An easy hike to the Rainbow Waterfalls should take ~15 minutes to get to from the parking area.

Green Lake:
A quick stop to a beautiful lake just north of Whistler village. Come by during sunset time and you will NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.
Shannon Falls:
Located just next to Sea to Summit Hike. A quick 5 minute walk to the viewing platform. Wasn't anything too spectacular in my opinion, but they do have a nice little picnic area for the family.
