There’s a lot of people who are not a big fan of the live scope (or mega 360/active target, pick your brand) however, it seems like it saves a lot of time as you’re not equating any on an empty spot!

I saw the two follows And one fish under the boat . Do you just reset and look for other fish ? I noticed you didn’t go after them
@JakeKeenom2 жыл бұрын
I can’t remember on this specific day but generally it depends on the fish. Often on the lakes that are getting pressured the fish aren’t catchable once they come up to the boat but in other cases I’ve caught fish that came to check out the boat. It’s really in a case by case basis.

@JakeKeenom2 жыл бұрын
It’s situational. Makes fish harder to see in my opinion in really thick stuff but in other situations it can make the fish show up very well. Much better at further distances imo

It is a great fishing platform but a rough riding boat. Great for small bodies of water but probably not ideal for big lakes

So do you just troll an look until you find the marks?
@JakeKeenom2 жыл бұрын
It is a little more complicated than that but the short answer is yes. I have learned the types of areas I should be looking in and go there. Some times it can be a little aimless when you are experimenting with new lakes. Generally it is the same stuff you would normally look for. Ditches, points, hard spots, brush, wood, rock, etc.
@scottmccrary96022 жыл бұрын
@@JakeKeenom oh im sure its tougher then it looks, i just got my system in and will be installing here soon. I just always wonder what's the exact method to each person's decision to where they choose to start trollin and goin on the grind of searching. Im stink at finding bass with my down scan and side scan. Hoping the live will help me learn alot more about areas and picking the right ones faster

Would you ever consider just using livescope by itself? Why even have the other traditional transducer views anymore?
@JakeKeenom2 жыл бұрын
Side and down imaging and down imaging show stuff on bottom much better than any forward facing sonar. I also like to have the 2d for depth when I am shallow to keep my eyes off livescope and because livescope is significantly louder under water than traditional. I also like to have another unit up front for my mapping

Lives cope takes the talent and fun out of fishing these days any computer nerd can be a pro bass fisherman. If you wanna use it cool but should be illegal in tournaments
@JakeKeenom3 жыл бұрын
Well you are entitled to tour own opinion but I disagree. I have been burned by it before like others. It can be a good way to catch fish but it is not always the best way. Also just because you see them doesn’t mean they will bite. It is an amazing innovation and a great tool. But it is a tool and it has a time and a place. But that is just one mans ideas. Just thought I would throw my perspective out there. Thanks for the comment man👍🏻

Chris lol you don’t know what your talking about! There is ALOT of skill in what he just did! Go try it and show us how easy it is lol smdh clueless!
@chriscosby15613 жыл бұрын
I also understand the concept it isn't rocket science if it was noone would be able to figure it out. Sight fishing you don't always catch em either but it tells you alot about where they at and what they are doing instead of actually having to think. Which is a problem with society these days the lack of ability to reason and..think but I do appreciate your opinion for what it's worth kid
@chriscosby15613 жыл бұрын
But still missed the point this is alot different of a ball game than not being able to see them. Saying there's skill involved is like saying someone who plays a hunting computer game has skill in hunting
@chriscosby15613 жыл бұрын
It shouldn't be legal in tournaments point blank and in most tournaments it isnt.
