He totally turned the tide for me. I went into this season fully supporting Ari and Summer and then Bax showed up and... He is just a better fit for her on every level. He's more emotionally mature and their energies just match so naturally. The chemistry was good from start to finish, making every scene they shared captivating. It is so obvious how good they are together that 99,9% of the audience shifted and started supporting them. SS nailed it with this potential pairing and I hope they realizing this is the Summer ship they need to invest in, for the audience and also for the characters and story.

frrr i never shipped ari and summer in the first place but ever since i saw the trailer i started shipping summer with abc cause 1. he's like so freaking hot😭 and 2. he cares sm about her and was the only one who cheered her up whenever she was sad so i REALLY REALLY REALLY hope they end up together in s3 cause clearly this season was a disappointment and i really thought they'd end up together this season cause that's what they do in almost every show: the girl gets together in the first season with someone then in season two she meets someone new and ends up with that person in season two until season three, then we see who she finally ends up with, that's what they did in the summer i turned pretty: belly ended up with conrad in the first season but in the new second season, she end up with jere, conrad's brother

Bax ALWAYS cared about summer and matched her energy perfectly. ari messed with her to much. Bax always decided to talk to her and went to her when he kept to himself around everyone else. You can see how much he cared when he was planning to make the board for her after he knew he messed up. You can see how much he regretted it in the beginning and when he told her . This was a hell of an edit! Beautifully pieced together! As for the show, I really feel like Summer and Baxter should be end game. For a lot of reasons actually. 1. Baxter has been the resident screw-up, who people constantly expect to fail or mess things up. So he could relate to Summer a lot more than Ari could. 2. Baxter made a mistake and hurt Summer, then admitted it and apologized. Ari refused to believe Summer, and told her that his life would be better without her. He never apologized. 3. Ari doesn't believe IN Summer. At the beginning of the new season, he told her - it's great that she's still surfing, but this is the nationals. When she got in, he was stunned. 4. Baxter appreciates Summer for who she really is. He doesn't see her as a complication. Ari does. There's more, but I'm too tired to type it out lol Suffice it to say that I hope we get season 3 and Summer/ Baxter.

As soon as I saw the trailer for S2 I was hoping for Bax & Summer but I knew the scenarists wouldn't make them endgame but I still binge watched the whole show hoping for a twist and hoping for more Summer & Bax scenes ! Even before Baxter was in this season I didn’t like Summer and Ari together. They seem better off as friends when I saw them in season 1. When they introduced Baxter so much better for her. This man even made her a surfboard and has always been upfront with her. To me Ari uses Summer as a crutch and that’s how I felt in season 1. I rather summer be single then be with Ari.

This season I was delighted with Bax, Summer and him had a very good chemistry, and I think they understood each other better but well I understand that just for prominence they left Ari's romance, but I would have liked to see more of Summer with Bax, that they would have gotten to something or more scenes together. tbh i hate when i love the second guy in a love triangle more than the first but i cant help it i love bax and summer. trust me i get that ari has anxiety which were the cause of his actions but those actions werent just and hurt a lot of the people involved. he told wren he loved her and slept w her after even when he lied abt his feelings to protect hers. and although bax loosened the fins (because of wren) on summers board he immediately came clean to her when he realized he and summer had something more which to me is way more important.

what i love about this show is the characters feel real every action has a real consequences that affects someone and things like that is what make shows and movies great when the audience feels apart of the story

since season 1 I felt that Summer and Ari were kinda forced like they just dropped it there at the end. After Ari spent season 1 pinning after Bodhi getting tangled with Poppy one kiss from summer then he just suddenly likes her? Summer never really showed much signs of liking him too. They always fight too and he spent all of season 1 complaining about her and how she was ruining his life. Ari would also say below the belt really hurtful shit to Summer that wasn't even relevant to the conversation and totally uncalled for like the stuff about her mom not loving her and not wanting to be around her. Like dude that clearly a sore spot for her. I just feel like if they were in a relationship and they fought they would end up saying really nasty things about each other then it would get toxic. Ari can also be kinda a pushover I feel like he would bottle up his feelings about things about the relationship, like Summer is very open and pretty honest if she doesn't like something she says it and she can also be a little bit of a bulldozer, I can totally see Summer unintentionally do something that Air doesn't like him not saying anything and then later blowing up at her and her not understanding what she did wrong. I feel like they would be better off as friends without the pressure of a romantic relationship they also give me sibling vibes. They just need to have the relationship run its course and have them ultimately realize they are better off as friends. I really prefer her with Bax I really felt they understood each other no one really expected much from them and they both walk their own path. Their chemistry was great too and the way they flirted with each other (the chin thing, the wink, the arm on shoulder) was really cute their both very physical. I also like how although she was initially mad she didn't blame him for what his sister guilted him to do and how she told him he needed to forgive himself. He also never really judged her on her decisions, like when she drank he just stayed with her. I feel like Ari would judge her a lot and try to get her to stop her from doing stuff and Summer being Summer would probably do it anyway just to spit him even tho she herself didn't initially think it was a good idea. I just don't think that would be the right approach with her she really doesn't like authority or being told what to do. She need someone who would do that stupid shit with her just to make sure she ok, someone who would stick by her and is loyal, understanding and patient, and someone who would give her advice without telling her what to do. Bax is very chill and is the go with the flow type. I also really like that he makes boards it's cool and if they were together is just think I would be very cute if he made boards for her. Their aesthetic also really matches with their dyed hair they just fit well together. They really need to make Summer and Bax endgame. I just hope if they do it’s not like immediately after Ari I really want them to develop their friendship so when they come together it's really natural. Also love her friendship with Poppy so cute. Poppy and Marlon and also really cute not gonna lie been shipping them since season 1. I also want Summer and Marlon to become closer friends I just feel like they are the hot headed dumb and drummer of the group and I love the nicknames they call each other America and Brazil. I almost shipped them based off their nicknames alone. I really missed Honey this season too she was less involved.

I started watching the series because of this video. At first I really liked Summer and Ari together, but every time something got out of Ari's control, he took out all his anger on her by saying very harsh things to her, in addition to never taking her side. It's not just anxiety, Ari is quite immature. And I also found everyone's friendship very weak, I didn't see anyone apologizing to Summer for believing in the blonde rather than her, and I still can't confirm that they didn't go to say goodbye to her at the airport.

Amazing edit but I wish you’d included the scene where Summer says “You act all cool and hot and whatever” (or something like that) and Bax says “you think I’m hot?” Its my fav scene of them ❤️ loved this
