Anna, totally keep up with your IPL. It's so worth the process. Laser the legs and toes! I bought the first version of the Philips Lumea IPL at home laser about....7/8 years ago and then subsequently a newer version of the same model about 4 years ago for top ups and it is AMAZING! Truly life changing. Worth every penny. Used it on my legs, bikini line, armpits, face, toes, tummy everywhere...where there was a tiny bit of hair....I zapped it. They don't guarantee permanent hair removal only reduction, but for me (I'm pale skin, dark hair too) the hair has gone. After I used the first model my hair totally stopped growing back after about 3 months of continued use and has never grown back (everywhere). I bought the new model later on to zap a few patches I had missed on my legs (hard to see bits, back of legs, knees), where the hair had grown back much finer but wasn't totally gone due to inconsistent zapping on my part and again, bang, few weeks of use. Hair totally gone. #notsponsored lol

Ha ! The freckle trick took me back - I'm probably your oldest sub - 71, and I did this all the time back in the 60's & 70's and I used Maybelline Eyebrow Pencil in brown. Worked perfectly!

Just make sure you use sun tan protection on your hands when using the uv lamp to dry - here in Australia we are seeing more cases of skin cancer on hands because of it.

I had my legs and bikini line lazered about 5 years ago. I haven't really had to wax since! I go once a year to remove a few wisps (!) before a holiday. So worth the money and effort as once it's done, it's done!

Catherine Parr where did you get it done? My experience with laser hair removal was SO INCREDIBLY PAINFUL.. I even had to put one hour beforr the session a cream from the pharmacy called emla to numb completely the area I was getting my laser done and I still had tears in my eyes with pain!!! 😭

Totally in love with this video - instead of a brown eyeshadow you can use a Self tan mousse with a very small pencil brush in the evening, wash your face in the Morning and you have some very natural looking freckles which will last you the whole day 😍 lots of love from Germany:)

Hi Anna, loved the video. I am coming to the end of a course of laser hair removal on my legs, underarms, upper lip and bikini line. Without a doubt it has definitely been worth the cost and the pain! I have dark hair that if I shaved regularly I would have to shave everyday to avoid stubble. I thought I would share a couple of tips from my experience (definitely not an expert but might be useful to someone!). I would recommend doing a bit of research on what type of lasers work best-- I have had my bikini line done at a different place to the other areas and it hasn't been as effective. Also worth thinking about -- apparently your hair gets thinner as you get older so to make the most of the cost I decided to get it done sooner rather than later. Usually places will do in house financing to help pay for it but if not groupon always has loads of offers. You can't expose the areas to the sun before and after treatment so might be good to start in the winter when you won't have your legs out as much and your skin is as pale as possible. Hope this helps a bit. xxx

You should give sugaring a go! I’m also quite hairy (Mediterranean genes) and it definitely lasts way longer than a wax. It also leaves your skin very smooth x

i swear by the sally hanson cuticle remover, i bought it after you recommended it years back when you lived at home haha! i'm def going to try the ingrown hair cream! for your fingernails, i'd recommend the essie gel setter top coat! it gives that gel coat look without ruining your nails (i use normal polish and base and top it with that, dries so fast and last a while!)

This was good. I suffer with ingrown hairs (I have curly thick hair) and I use Prince Reigns after I get waxed (Brazilian), and then once to twice a day to help prevent ingrown it also helps fade scarring. I also use an exfoliating loofa soap that is really moisturizing. I use the L'occitaine almond shower oil to shave, it leaves my skin so soft and then on damp skin I use baby oil :) lol

I was on holiday in the UK a few months back and got the Mitchum deodorant that everyone raves about. After using it only 4 times (!) I got a rash in my armpits that still hasn't gone away, I now have to use a cream lotion deodorant to try to heal the rash :(
