i love this pattern, thank you! is it possible though to knit an i-cord instead of crochet a strap? or would i be able to crochet the strap even if i've never crocheted before?

gayathri You could knit the strap instead. The crocheted strap is not that difficult for a beginner, and I think it is worth the effort to learn if you fancy a challenge!
