It's amazing, I'll never understand why Chicago gets such a bad rap for it's shootings and car jackings, everything is so peaceful everywhere, never not once in these videos and when i visited there, have i ever seen anything bad happen, the people there are pretty cool for the most part, very laid back and friendly, hey what can you do, haters are going to hate, the hell with them!

This is called “confirmation bias.” I’m in the suburbs of Chicago. Just because you’re not experiencing it, that doesn’t mean it’s not happening around you. Listen to a police scanner or the citizen app sometime. Crime is very rampant. Most of it is just either never reported by the people themselves or not reported by the local media. Crime used to just happen in the bad neighborhoods. Now it happens all over. Granted, downtown is more safe, but crazy stuff still happens downtown. Crews of young teens are constantly out there robbing people. Does that mean to live your life in fear? No. But it does mean you need to get out of this slumber of a false sense of safety that you’re in. In a city like this you need to stay vigilant and have your wits about you. A “I’m safe because it feels safe” attitude is not good. This is a huge mega city that has a reputation for violent crime for a reason…….because a LOT of it happens here.

@@truthteller4442 I agree with that to a certain extent, but I'd take my chances in the city anyday, compared to the crappy outside neighborhoods and suburbs, but isn't every big city like that? I don't think Chicago is any different than anywhere you go, it could happen anywhere, crime is everywhere these days, it really doesn't matter where you go.

@@truthteller4442 This is "Downtown" chicago...and for the most part its really nice...just like any other city however there are parts of chicago that is high in crime...heck a few blocks west...and this might be a different video...but again...just like LA...there are parts that are really nice...then go a few block one way and bam...you're in deep doodoo...same with phoenix...or new york...or miami....chicago is no different.
